This charging dock is replacing my last charging dock, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR6JD1M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which worked just fine but just gave up the ghost after about three years. Good time to try something new! Its a product with a simple purpose, so theres not a ton to say about the functionality. Does it charge the joycon controllers? Yes it does. Two more specific things to say about it, though. 1) the design -- very cool how it has an entire bar of light next to each controller -- green when its ready to charge / fully charged, red when its charging. Makes it extremely easy to check status, compared to the usual tiny light, and it just looks neat. And 2) it uses USB-C charging, which I appreciate, as Im really getting tired of having to keep micro-USB chargers around for the few remaining devices that insist on using that.

Sometimes one of the lights does not turn on, but otherwise works great.

A very good piece of equipment that all switch owners should have. Uses usb type C and can charge two controllers, or 4 joy cons, at the same time. Also, the design with the led lights makes this charger very nice to keep out due to a sleek design.

So I got this for my Switch-loving boyfriend about 3 months ago - here are our thoughts below: Pros: - For starters, the product arrives looking exactly as the photos/description. - One major positive is that you can charge 4 joy cons at once, and separate from the Switch on their own dock. - At the time of writing this review, its going for $15.99 - we think this is a deal. Its an amazing, helpful product that does what it says it would and does it well. The price is better than spot on! - It plugs in via USB-C which can also be used to charge a SwitchPro controller. - The way battery life is shown is extremely straight forward - each controller dock has its own light and it will be red if it still needs to be charged, or green if its ready. To be clear, the color changes for each controller so you know the life of the individual controllers. - Its small, takes up very little space. It doesnt take up anymore space than it needs to. - It looks good. Video game stuff can be bulky and ugly. This isnt. Its sleek, well-designed, and overall, not an aesthetic eyesore. Con... kind of??: - It doesnt come with a wall plug. It only comes with the charging cord. Not a big deal at all, but we felt it was worth noting so there arent any surprises. All in all, it gets a 5 star rating from us and we highly recommend it! I will update the review if we find we feel differently down the road.

I love it! It works great, charges fast, and the lights turn red while charging. They turn green again when fully charged. It has a rubber base and doesn’t slide around the surface you place it on.

Works as intended, smaller than other chargers thankfully (nail polish for reference), and the design looks dope. Had it for about a month and it’s working fine, I’ll update this when it breaks!

Recently bought extra controls as we have four little ones who want to be able to play together. This charging stand is compact but does what its supposed to. Its nice because itll charge the four controls at once or whichever ones arent being used at the time. And it takes up very little space.
