Greater than one weekI have used for 2 projects. 1 was on brand new shellaced shelves. Adhesive stuck great then fell off 2 days later. I ended up using 3m foam tape to hold. 2nd project was a large mirror frame. Surface was clean latex paint. Same result. Stuck aggressively. Even pulled paint off if repositioned. 2 days later entire light strip was laying on the counter. I need to get another light strip for this application.

> 3 dayFor the price, this is a great product. I used 2 5meter rolls to light up 2 steps approximately the length of each roll. The top step has lasted about 3months outdoors in Colorado. The bottom step has already failed, but only half has gone out. So I will replace and triple check my connections to make certain it has been properly sealed. It’s imperative that the blue tape light last for it represents the thin blue line! Which is for all fallen law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty. > 3 dayThe 16 foot strip installs in minutes and looks to be very waterproof. Quite satisfied with this part. However the adhesive leaves much to be desired. Ended up using thumbtacks to keep it in place.

> 3 dayI ordered warm white but it seems that the color is rather cold white. Brightness is quite good. But the major problem is that the back adhesive is not strong enough to hold the light strip’s own weight when mounting overhead. I put it underneath the roof of a plastic shed’s roof (cleaned the surface first with denatured alcohol). The next day the strip was on the floor. I had do use another double sided tape for mounting.

Greater than one weekThese are a very good deal, and I was able to connect them to 12V 1-amp converter (for 120V) that I had around the house. Unfortunately they are not the warm white 2700K advertised, and I would guess they are somewhere in the mid-3500K (cool white) range. They are quite bright for LEDs which will be useful for some applications, but in my case - for hidden cabinet lighting - they are a bit too bright given that they are cool white and not warm white. They installed easily, and it was simple to cut them to length. The adhesive backing works reasonably well, although it actually was peeling away from the light strip in some places even as I applied it. UPDATED: I figured out a quick-fix for overly bright cool-white light strips like these. Get some yellow-ochre oil paint. It takes about 5 minutes to dap a bit on each LED for the entire strip, and for under cabinet lighting (hidden) it works very well. I am attaching a before and after for just one bay of a cabinet where we wanted warm-white lighting, and the light from these cool-white LED strips was too harsh. In some cases we decided we needed a second coat, so dont worry about blocking the light - the paint can be wiped off or added to get the right tone.

Greater than one weekI have ordered 3 reels of these lights for my boat to accent the living area. They are nice and bright. One package came with no connectors or instructions, luckily I ordered connectors separately. The second package had instructions and connectors but the inconsistency could diminish this products quality. The adhesion was the weakest point. Please use 3m adhesion only. I had to tie wrap these to some existing lights I replaced. Once I got through that the lights add positive atmosphere to our boat with just under 2 amp draw for 1.75 reels.

Greater than one weekI purchased these to install under a homemade cabinet. These have only been used indoors so I cannot speak to their IP rating or their UV resistance as others have noted there may be concerns in those areas. For my application, they work perfectly. They were easy to install and soldering wire connections to a switch and 9V battery was simple. The adhesive was a bit lacking when applied to the pine cabinet surface, but I did not intend to use the adhesive alone and used mounting staples to keep them in place. If you are relying on the adhesive alone to hold these you may run into some frustration unless you have a smooth surface and install them on long straight runs. For my application this was not an issue, since I was using mechanical fasteners. Brightness running off a 9V battery was exactly what I was looking for - not bright enough to add accent in full sunlight or a brightly lit room, but for little to no ambient light (which is what my application is) they are perfect.
