> 3 dayAt this point I can’t really add anything.....the session takes are wonderful, the 5.1 mix is amazing (and when after 50 years of listening you hear new bits on almost every song it’s just too fab for words), and the Esher demos sound great after only having bootlegs and a few from the Anthology. This and Revolver are my faves (yes Pepper is an earth-shaking work of art, but, well, sorry, it’s 3rd for me), and this and the 4 lp box are well worth the money. Giles Martin has done a fantastic job. Buy it and smile, it’s the gear.

> 3 dayAs Christopher Walken as The Continental would say Wowie Wow Wow! What a fantastic rerelease, new version, whatever you want to call it. Best sounding recording of all time. Giles and team deserve Nobel Prize for Awesomeness. Just listen. Blackbird, Long, Long, Long so clear and upfront now. The Goodnight demo OMG. The Escher demos yahoo! Buy it. You will not be sorry (if you are a Beatle/music fan). Wowie Wow Wow

> 3 dayHaving lived through the phenomenon that is the Beatles, trying to keep up with the current editions of the releases is getting tiring and expensive to say the least. I mean, how many times do you have to buy the same album? I bought this just to satisfy my curiosity because of the reviews that Ive been reading about the Giles Martin releases, and thought it might be worth it. Its not! The only thing this release adds to the table are the demos. Even the 5.1 surround sound is less than spectacular, and I have a very nice system to listen to it with. If youre curious as to how these songs evolved, then the esher demos are a good start. Although many of them are on the Beatles anthology collection, some have never been released to the public, understandingly so. They are in their rawest forms. That being said, I would say that this collection is not really worth the money. The Sgt. Pepper release was much more impressive than this one. Which leads me to the question of how many times can you remaster a 4 track or 8 track recording and still get people to think its better? Keep your coins in your pockets and pass on this.
