The Beatles - The Beatles white album - Capitol Records - SWBO 101 VG+/VG

The 5.1 version is incredibly good! It sounds like it just came out. Brilliant production and incredible music. The book is priceless and very well written. Is it too expensive? Well I am thrilled I paid and I think the book justifies the expense. I personally have always preferred “Sgt. Peoper” and “Mystery Tour” for the brilliant songs on those albums. But this remastered White Album is just as good as those, if a little bit more cheeky and with more mordant wit. You can’t go wrong buying this and reading the book is priceless. Ok now don’t bother me … I’m going to pop another 100 down for McCartney’s “Lyrics” book. Cheers!

One of the most important, creative pop music releases of all time. Even the outtakes heard on the big box set were of some worth. If you dont dig this pair of platters let us make an agreement right now to never meet. Okay? We got a deal?

Surprisingly, the surround mix of the White Album makes considerably more obvious use of the rear channels than the Sgt. Pepper surround mix did. Experience tells me that the dts surround mix would be guaranteed free of added compression (to make the music sound LOUDER), so that’s where I went to first. The surround mix is glorious and my review is based on it.

MY CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.IT HAS ALL OF THE INSERTS SIMILAR TO THE ORIGINAL 68 VINYL RELEASE,INCLUDING THE FULL POSTER WHICH IS ABOUT 50% SCALE,VINYL LOOK MINI-LPS WITH THE GREEN APPLE.I SUSPECT CERTAIN SELLERS ,WHO REGISTER UNDER ANOTHER NAME , DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THIS PRODUCT(ALTHOUGH SELL SIMILAR,POSSIBLY NON-IMPORT STANDARD ISSUES WHICH ARE OK)STATE ANYTHING THEY WANT IN A REVEIW TO KEEP THEIR OWN PRODUCT MORE VIABLE ,SELLABLE. Giles Martin has done a fantastic job, these remixes sound crisp and fresh. All the outtakes and sessions are also very interesting to listen to and allow an introspective look into the construction of such legendary songs. A must have for any fan.
