> 3 dayIdk who decided to make these dolls. Theres a special place in Hell for them. But when my kid saw Santa this year, this is what he asked for. We are now the proud owners of FOUR elf on the shelf dolls. This little elf is just like the others. Good quality, creepy and boring. For the price they could at least make them posable so when my 2am alarm goes off to play with dolls the entire month of December Im not scrambling around in the dark trying to find a way to make them bake cookies and play cards. But they dont and youre left with a poorly stuffed playmate who needs fishing twine and too much of my time. If you really hate someone with kids or youre a therapist wanting to ensure your own future, gift one of these.

> 3 dayDont get me wrong, my kids love this thing, but These are way too expensive for a tiny felt doll and a 7 page book. The quality is good, theyre sturdy. I only spent the money for my kids.

> 3 dayFor the price of this, I expected it to be flawless when it arrived. Unfortunately the box was dented on the corner, as if it was dropped before shipping. The book inside the box was also crinkled on one corner, and it was very noticeable. The elf is extremely hard to position and her hands came sewn together. If I had it to do over again, I would have just purchased it locally.

Greater than one weekWe received our first Elf on the Shelf in 2008. When our son was 3, he wanted one of his own, so he took over our boy elf and our daughter asked for a girl elf. So, we have 2. While our elf antics arent as elaborate as Pinterest loves to showcase and our elves have a strict, NO Pranks policy(like no cutting of Barbies hair, no drawing on family members faces, etc), we do love seeing what fun things they are up to each morning. They are a bit pricey, but the way they come displayed and the book is quite lovely. Since 2008, we have bought a couple to give to our kids teachers for their classrooms. We have bought a couple for friends kids. It has become a tradition in our family. Our kids are getting bigger, but they still get a good laugh out of them in the mornings. I get that folks may see it as just something else they have to worry about or do, but you can make it as simple or as elaborate as YOU want. Folks are especially needing smiles THIS year--one of the worst I can think of-2020. My kids started asking at the end of October when our elves were returning to our house, so setting up a scene 24 days in a row is not a big deal for us. I think even if my kids were grown, I would still do Elf on the Shelf every year. Its worth their smiles. I would highly recommend adding one of these little guys or girls to your holiday traditions. As it stands, we will probably be adding the other 2 elves available (with the lighter skin tone) to our elf family.

> 3 dayVery cute. However, Amazon sent it by itself and put the shipping label on the middle of the front of the box. Not a huge deal but it was hard to get the label off to give as a gift.

> 3 dayMy child (3y.o) loved this, and enjoyed finding him each day. However, it would be nice if it came with wires in the arm for better positioning.

> 3 dayThe book is excellent and the grandkids love reading it to me almost every night…the two year old loves the pictures. She seats on the chair and waits for her 5 year old brother to read it. We read a book every night, but they like the story being that it’s Christmas they read it every night…lol
