This brainteasing puzzle is so much fun! I know it says its for ages 8 and up, but I got it for my mom (who probably doesnt want me to write her age) - but shes over fifty. She loves crosswords, jigsaws, gin rummy, and anything else that stimulates her brain. The first time she tried this puzzle, it took her hours and she had to cheat to complete it! Beautiful pictures of butterflies, hours of entertainment even if youre a grown-up, and a small convenient size so you can store it or take it anywhere. The pieces fit together well, so there isnt the issue of pieces falling out and making a mess on the floor or the couch. She loves it!

This is a fun puzzle that is also challenging for an 8 year old. Its not like your standard puzzle, as multiple pieces can fit in each slot. So it really becomes a process of elimination. I needed to help my child this puzzle, as she is not accustomed to this type of puzzle. Its challenging and we havent even finished it yet. The pieces are sturdy, and my kid liked the colorful butterflies. Id say this is a fun and challenging puzzle for a 7-12 year old.

Bought it for my 8- and 10-year old, they both thought its a baby puzzle since it doesnt have too many pieces, but it took them multiple attempts and over an hour to solve it! This puzzle is good for kids from 8 to 13 that love solving puzzle. It requires both logical thinking and patient to solve it.

This was my first time trying a puzzle like this. It was fun. It looks easy. There are only 16 pieces, but Id get down to the last one or two pieces and - WRONG! - Id have to start over. If you like brainteasers, you will enjoy this.

This is definitely a lot harder than it looks. My 4 year old loves puzzles, so I thought this would be an interesting twist to challenge him, but its just too hard for his level (I know the product says 8 and up, but those arent always accurate). That said, it is a fun puzzle that will challenge anyone. The board and pieces are decent quality, but I wish they were a bit thicker. Overall Im happy with the puzzle. Ill just have to wait a bit before my son can do it.

Got this origially as a gag for a friend to play with, who had missed seeing any dolphins on a recent vacation Then we both realised just how much more this (and one assumes, its stallmates) really can be for puzzle lovers Dont want to spoil the fun, but if youre a puzzler, get this! It;s intriguing as all get out!

A puzzle and a brain teaser all in one. Youre going to need a lazy afternoon to tackle this one. I took a photo before I started and Im glad I did because I had to give up and go do other things. Its good quality with nice thick pieces, but the pieces were bowed a bit when all of them were in the frame so the surface was not flat. Perhaps the humidity here caused them to swell. A sleeve to store it in would be nice since I didnt trust the pieces to stay put. It fits in a 2-gallon Ziploc. I will pull this out again at a family gathering. I think the adults will have fun with it, but it might be too frustrating for the kids.

Before you begin: TAKE A PICTURE of the completed puzzle before you scramble it! This puzzle is simple, but extremely difficult to complete without help! There are multiple pieces that can fit in any given spot, and you wont know if they are correct until youve spent some time trying to fit together the remaining pieces. On the back is a picture of a partially completed puzzle, which I suppose can also give you some help if you are stuck. While there may be some kind of strategy to solving it (besides trial and error), I havent figured it out yet. Im glad I took a picture before I took it apart, because it helps a LOT to have a guide. Even referencing the picture, I had some trouble distinguishing between the heads/tails of the same butterflies when I wasnt looking closely. I suppose for an easier challenge, you could set it up with a few of the pieces already in place and work to the solution from there. Once the puzzle is completed, the pieces actually stay in the mold quite well. There is a small amount of tension that will keep them from falling out, even if you flip it over to look at the back. That being said, the last piece can be a bit difficult to place because you have to really make sure all the other triangles are flush with the frame. The only real negative is that there is no external box or bag to hold the pieces, so youll either need to trust the natural tension of the puzzle, or put the pieces in a small ziplock bag. This is a fun little puzzle and definitely worth the price. Though it is a bit too difficult for me to solve without help, I think it will be a lot of fun to try solving it with increasingly large sections of the puzzle removed. I recommend it!

This puzzle arrived quickly, wrapped in shrink wrap and in great condition; made of nice quality cardboard with vivid clear colorful printing- no odor. This puzzle is a Ravensburger product. I highly advise you to take a picture of the assembled puzzle prior to dismantling the pieces. It appeared easy enough...just 13 triangle puzzle pieces and my thought was just to do the edge pieces and the rest will just fall into place...well, easier said than done. This is challenging since 2 of the 3 sides may match multiple pieces. I wanted to time myself assembling the puzzle but adulting responsibilities got in the way and I had to hand it over to my tween to finish. She really enjoyed it and it did take a bit of time to assemble it correctly (she removed my pieces and worked in a triangular method-and it took her 25 minutes to do this puzzle). I LOVE products that are double duty...as in not just a puzzle but a brain teaser or products that are games with lessons unwittingly built in-this puzzle was fun and I look forward to adding it to our game room stash. I am a fan of puzzles in boxes or pouches for storage, so I will have to find a solution for storage so the pieces do not separate from the board and get lost, as well as toss in a printed picture of the assembled puzzle just to have an answer key on hand. This product arrived shrink wrapped and in great condition.

Got this for my 7-year-old son who is pretty good at puzzles. This was a bit harder, though he figured it out fairly quickly. All of the pieces are equilateral triangles so you have to assemble them using the picture alone which really encourages attention to detail and critical thinking.
