This butterflies puzzle is a fun challenge. It is one that can be done again and again. There are triangular shaped pieces that fit into a triangle shaped backboard. The permanent edges along the board have the design too, so that you have a place to start. Each side of each triangle has half a butterfly or butterflies. The trick is to fit all the halves together to complete the puzzle. Multiple pieces look as if they can fit in the corner spots, so its a matter of trial and error until they all get placed properly. Its like its a new puzzle each time. Ive really been enjoying it.

I’ve had brainteaser puzzles like this before and have always found them to be fun and challenging. This ‘Triazzle’ by ThinkFun is no exception. It’s a great puzzle to have on hand. It’s big enough for a couple of people to work on together. And it’s challenging enough to be fun. The cardboard the puzzle is printed on is a little thin in my opinion. It makes the pieces a little awkward to deal with and they don’t want to stay in place on the board like they would if the cardboard was thicker. The butterfly design is a little hard to see being it’s rather small. But that nothing a pair of reader glasses won’t fix. I’m happy with this brain teaser puzzle and would definitely buy others in the series. I keep it in the RV, and it’s a great way to pass time.

Very fun but challenging puzzle. Took me quite some time to get it back together. Very sturdy cardboard frame and the picture is very nicely printed and detailed. Puzzles like these were always fun when I was a kid and they still are. I can see why they have sold so many millions. Highly recommended for kids or anyone that loves puzzles.

Bought it for my 8- and 10-year old, they both thought its a baby puzzle since it doesnt have too many pieces, but it took them multiple attempts and over an hour to solve it! This puzzle is good for kids from 8 to 13 that love solving puzzle. It requires both logical thinking and patient to solve it.

I originally ordered this for a 13-year old but decided to give it a go myself (and Im 13 a few times over.) It is challenging, although solvable with patience. The pieces are relatively sturdy and easy to manipulate. I see this very much as a solo activity, but I guess you could work it through with a partner. I really enjoyed it and think that the originally intended recipient would have enjoyed it a lot...and been able to solve it with the same time and patience.

Before you begin: TAKE A PICTURE of the completed puzzle before you scramble it! This puzzle is simple, but extremely difficult to complete without help! There are multiple pieces that can fit in any given spot, and you wont know if they are correct until youve spent some time trying to fit together the remaining pieces. On the back is a picture of a partially completed puzzle, which I suppose can also give you some help if you are stuck. While there may be some kind of strategy to solving it (besides trial and error), I havent figured it out yet. Im glad I took a picture before I took it apart, because it helps a LOT to have a guide. Even referencing the picture, I had some trouble distinguishing between the heads/tails of the same butterflies when I wasnt looking closely. I suppose for an easier challenge, you could set it up with a few of the pieces already in place and work to the solution from there. Once the puzzle is completed, the pieces actually stay in the mold quite well. There is a small amount of tension that will keep them from falling out, even if you flip it over to look at the back. That being said, the last piece can be a bit difficult to place because you have to really make sure all the other triangles are flush with the frame. The only real negative is that there is no external box or bag to hold the pieces, so youll either need to trust the natural tension of the puzzle, or put the pieces in a small ziplock bag. This is a fun little puzzle and definitely worth the price. Though it is a bit too difficult for me to solve without help, I think it will be a lot of fun to try solving it with increasingly large sections of the puzzle removed. I recommend it!

I bought this to use in my classroom with elementary students. I like the puzzle and think the kids will enjoy it. While it is made of sturdy cardboard, I don’t think it will hold up to a lot of use. Maybe better for home use with just one or two children.

When I was a young teenager I had a cool puzzle that consisted of 9 square cards with half of a frogs body on each side of each square. You had to arrange the cards just right to complete the puzzle and make whole frogs and there was only one way to solve. It was super challenging but definitely worked your brain – so I thought why not give this one a try. This one is more challenging to me even as there are many more pieces and it REALLY works your brain. The game claims to be good for ages 8 and up. I can not imagine a child trying to solve this without getting frustrated or losing interest. Personally I think teens and adults are more suited – but what do I know – maybe I was a dumb kid. : ) It is challenging and pretty. It is printed and constructed well. Everything is contained inside the main outside triangle border. The only thing is that I do wish it came in a reusable sleeve for storage. It comes in plastic shrink wrap but once you rip that open it is gone and you just have the board and all the pieces. I found a plastic sleeve from something else and inserted it to store. Otherwise, this is such a nice game/puzzle. Would make a good gift for those that like puzzles and a challenge as well. I hope that you have found my review “helpful”. : ) Enjoy your day! : )

This is definitely a lot harder than it looks. My 4 year old loves puzzles, so I thought this would be an interesting twist to challenge him, but its just too hard for his level (I know the product says 8 and up, but those arent always accurate). That said, it is a fun puzzle that will challenge anyone. The board and pieces are decent quality, but I wish they were a bit thicker. Overall Im happy with the puzzle. Ill just have to wait a bit before my son can do it.
