13-06-2025This puzzle is much, much harder than it looks. If only you didnt have to match all three sides it wouldnt be so difficult, but, of course, you do. The puzzle is colorful and the pieces are made of quality cardboard. It arrived in great condition.

> 3 dayI made two mistakes with this puzzle: 1. I should have taken a picture of the puzzle before I removed it from the shrink wrap, and 2. I should have numbered the pieces on the back so I would know how to put it together! Im joking, but this puzzle is a challenge. You definitely use your problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning as advertised. I have several ThinkFun games and I think they are fantastic. The only thing I would change with this puzzle would be to include a sleeve of some kind to put it in when not in use. Definitely a winner.

> 3 dayWhen I was a young teenager I had a cool puzzle that consisted of 9 square cards with half of a frogs body on each side of each square. You had to arrange the cards just right to complete the puzzle and make whole frogs and there was only one way to solve. It was super challenging but definitely worked your brain – so I thought why not give this one a try. This one is more challenging to me even as there are many more pieces and it REALLY works your brain. The game claims to be good for ages 8 and up. I can not imagine a child trying to solve this without getting frustrated or losing interest. Personally I think teens and adults are more suited – but what do I know – maybe I was a dumb kid. : ) It is challenging and pretty. It is printed and constructed well. Everything is contained inside the main outside triangle border. The only thing is that I do wish it came in a reusable sleeve for storage. It comes in plastic shrink wrap but once you rip that open it is gone and you just have the board and all the pieces. I found a plastic sleeve from something else and inserted it to store. Otherwise, this is such a nice game/puzzle. Would make a good gift for those that like puzzles and a challenge as well. I hope that you have found my review “helpful”. : ) Enjoy your day! : )

> 3 dayThis Frog Triazzle puzzle is so much fun and definitely a challenge. When we first opened it everyone thought they could do it quickly then soon realized it tricks you with the multiple locations for pieces. Really gets you thinking ahead and using problem solving which makes this puzzle great for all ages. I love the size as it easily stores in between the games in the cabinet. We are very happy with the challenging fun of this puzzle and feel it would make a great gift.

> 3 dayI first received a couple of these Triazzle puzzles when I was about 8 years old, and I have fond memories of solving them over and over. These are a little smaller than the puzzles used to be in the 2000s, but the same sturdy quality is still there. I’m so glad they are rereleasing them. There are some strategies to learn and it’s a lot of fun figuring them out. I even got to the point where I would time myself to see how fast I could solve one. I highly recommend placing all the pieces in a ziplock bag when not playing with it. This is also better for repeat solving because you won’t remember where any of the pieces belong. However, if you do lose a piece, the board is still solvable with just one missing piece. If you already bought your puzzle and are really struggling to solve, a good strategy is to start from one corner and work your way out. Pick out all the tiles that could fit in one corner of the board and try any combination that lets you keep progressing. It’s a puzzle on the process of elimination.

> 3 dayWhen my husband opened the package for this puzzle he asked why I got a little kids puzzle when our kids are teenagers. I promptly took it apart, mixed up the pieces and challenged him to put it back together. An hour later, he still hadnt succeeded. This puzzle is deceptively simple. Sixteen triangular pieces in a larger triangular frame with various butterflies (I think there are 6 or 7 different butterflies) along the edges of each piece. You have to arrange the triangles so that the proper butterflies line up along each edge to create a whole butterfly. The problem is, it is very easy to fit two sides, but not so easy to fit all three. There is only one right solution that will align all the butterflies, but there are seemingly infinite possibilities that dont work (Im sure the number of possibilities can be worked out mathematically, but thats above my pay grade). If you look closely, there are logical ways to start and proceed. Corner pieces, for instance, already have two sides given and there are only two or three pieces which will fit in any given corner. Then from there you can find other areas where there are only a couple of choices and try to eliminate them down to the correct fit. Using this bit of logic (and a whole lot of luck), I managed to complete the puzzle in about half an hour). The puzzle is made of reasonably sturdy cardboard, but Im not sure how well it will hold up with repeated use. It is also certainly not waterproof (much less glue, slime or other such substances), so it is best kept away from young children. Im also not sure how much re-play value this puzzle has. Theoretically you can solve it over and over again and it wouldnt necessarily get easier over time. But I wonder how many people will be motivated to do so - I cant say that I am. This is a decent puzzle for an older child or adult, but probably something best suited for a school, retirement home or other facility where it will get used by multiple people.

Greater than one weekThis Triazzle puzzle is almost the same as one I had many years ago, only smaller. The frog design appears to be the same, however this puzzle is, I’d guess, about 50% smaller than the one I had in the 1990s. This is actually a bit welcome, as the issue with the larger Triazzle puzzle of the past was sometimes finding a place to store it flat. The puzzle appears simple, but once you dump all the pieces out you’ll find that it’s not quite as simple as it looks, and just when you think you may have the puzzle solved, you may find the last few pieces just don’t fit! It’s a fun puzzle, the only issue is once you recall where a few key pieces go, it does become a bit easier. Even now, years later when working with the puzzle, my brain still recalls where one key puzzle piece goes, however, it’s still fun to figure the rest of the puzzle out! The puzzle is made well of sturdy board material. The puzzle pieces fit snugly, the printing is good, and overall it’s a fun puzzle!

Greater than one weekGot this for my 7-year-old son who is pretty good at puzzles. This was a bit harder, though he figured it out fairly quickly. All of the pieces are equilateral triangles so you have to assemble them using the picture alone which really encourages attention to detail and critical thinking. If youre looking to give your kids a challenge, try Triazzles.

> 3 dayI originally ordered this for a 13-year old but decided to give it a go myself (and Im 13 a few times over.) It is challenging, although solvable with patience. The pieces are relatively sturdy and easy to manipulate. I see this very much as a solo activity, but I guess you could work it through with a partner. I really enjoyed it and think that the originally intended recipient would have enjoyed it a lot...and been able to solve it with the same time and patience.
