The seller has updated this product, so I am updating my review. This USB-C dock is not what I reviewed. I reviewed a small dongle that was under $20, not a dock that is north of $200. This adapter does its job. I bought a desktop that only had USB-C without realizing it, and this gave me the connection I needed to get to my HDMI monitor. Picture quality is great and it sends through the signal at full resolution.

This is a simple but effective USB-C to HDMI adapter. Plugged straight into a Samsung S20+ and connected to the TV via HDMI cable. It was immediately recognized and we were able to watch a streamed movie from the internet. Works flawlessly.

I feel bad giving this item 4 stars, because its a very nice piece of tech, but $250 (and even $230 with the $20 coupon, however long that lasts...) is too much for this when considering the alternative purchase options. Dont get me wrong, this is a very nice dock, weighing this against the alternatives hurts my rating on it. I want to give this item 5 stars, but the price is the large issue that docks the stars to 4 (sorry for the pun). The transfer speeds are wonderful. The 4k dual monitors and single 8k monitor, amazing! The charging port is great, as well as all 16 of the different options that come with this dock. I am a tiny bit concerned about the longevity of the dock, as it does seem to run hot and has no fans(even when just turned on, and having nothing else running through it, it gets pretty warm). I do love this dock, and I hope it serves me well for a long time. If that changes, Ill be sure to edit my review. But for now, at the $250 price point or maybe even the $230 coupon point (although a much more fair price point!), I dont think I can give this dock 5 stars, despite its excellence. The dock looks wonderful, and its compact. It wont take up a ton of desk space like a tower dock will, and it might even keep you warm in the winter!
