So I saw this case briefly and made an impulse but because of TomTocs reputation and the nice camo pattern. I placed my order THEN decided to read up a little more on it while I waited for its arrival. I started to get worried because all the statements were only mentioning the OLED model. I couldnt find any one stating compatibility with the original at this point. I decided to be cool and just wait for it to actually arrive before jumping the gun to initiate a return. It was a good call. The TomToc case fits the Original Switch just fine. It is a minimalist case but if you just need something quick to hold the Switch console/controllers and a few game cartridges (or SD cards) then this is fine. It can always be thrown in a bigger bag or carry on where you can place your power supply or just a USB C cable & a battery bank to cover all your travel bits & bobs. Its well designed, well made, and has good zippers and an optional hand strap. Worth a good $twentyish dollars IMO. Keep up the good work, TomToc! I own several of your bags and cases and really enjoy everything Ive picked up from your brand so far. - Happy to make the Switch to TomToc for my travel protection needs.

Great job, Tomtoc! This case is perfect! Its slender, higher-quality, durable, lightweight, and even provides some game storage. I have the original Nintendo Switch in full black, with a pink protective case and joy-con grips, and it still fits perfectly in there. I no longer worry about damaging my switch while its in my backpack or purse. I highly recommend this carry case!

Very impressed by the quality. Fit and finish is excellent. Avoid the white if you dont want to make sure your hands are washed each time you pick it up, although its arguably the prettier finish.

So while there is an older version of this case, it’s not fully compatible with the Switch OLED as the cutouts for the face buttons/analog sticks don’t quite line up correctly, and are a tad undersized in general. While it “works,” - this is clearly the superior case here. This latest version of the case solves these problems, and as far as minimalist protection in a case goes, I love this one. The Switch is protected from the zippers, it fits perfectly, room for some game cartridges etc. Great stuff. 5 out of 5. Love this one.

I bought this Tomtoc case along with a similar product from Fintie to see which one I liked better. Unfortunately both of these suffer from the same issues. 1. The case does not have a snug fit, so the device slides around just a little even when the case is closed, which leads into the more serious issue... 2. As you can see the case has indentations where the joysticks are supposed to go, however, the joystick slots in the case are slightly wider than the locations of the actual joysticks. This means that only one joystick can be protected at a time and the other joystick will be under pressure from the case. Not good. The case is made from good material, and looks great, but considering that it is supposed to be a form-fitted mold of the Nintendo Switch, the sizing is completely wrong. Too bad, could have been perfect. I plan to return these. I will stick with these same brands, but try a larger case that provides adequate protection for the joysticks.

As soon as I was able to get an OLED Switch, I knew this would be the next purchase. I have used a Tomtoc slim case on my standard Switch for several years now and was deliriously happy with its protection and light weight. The OLED version of that same case is predictably excellent; I bring it with me on my train commute often now with peace of mind (and several cartridges tucked into the elastic slot). I can also sneak in a USB-C charging cable! Highly recommended.
