16-04-2025Until Nintendo makes a slim style case for the OLED with magnets like they did for the Switch Lite, this is and will remain the best case for the OLED Switch! Well built, Great Zippers, and best of all low profile. Recommendations for next iteration. 1 do away with the detachable strap or make it the same quality as the rest of the case. No one uses that strap though and it just gets thrown away. So just do away with it. 2 make the entire interior the same fabric as what is under the game holder. Consistent and luxurious. 3 take a look at Nintendos slim case for the Switch Lite and make one of the same quality for the OLED. It will sell well. I will buy it immediately!

> 3 dayTL;DR: I recommend it. Very good travel case that I feel would offer my Switch a lot of protection Review: From the start this seems like a pretty good and sturdy case, but lets get into the details. The case itself comes in a standard clear plastic bag. Inside the case itself is a couple of moisture absorbing packets which keep the case dry during transit. Theres an adjustable wrist strap that also comes inside with a couple of tags. On the tag there is a serial number and a QR code that will direct you to the website to sign up and register your carrying case. The warranty is good for 2 years. When you register your product you also get an account created for you to use on the website. Not sure how I feel about that since I cant imagine I would need to visit the website enough to need an account. The shell of the case is solid and sturdy but not as you might think. On a scale from 1 to 10 on hardness Id put it at a 6.5. Its durable enough to not let anything typical penetrate it but it is also easily bendable. The case is good to prevent anything striking it reasonably hard but you could still crack the screen if enough force were to sit on it. I wouldnt want to put this under my suitcase in my trunk or in the bottom of my backpack. Pressing on the case with my Switch in it, I can easily click my thumbsticks. Military Protection is kind of a bold claim and seems more of a marketing term. The texture of the case is something close to a reptile skin. It provides a good grip but might catch a lot of dirt over time, especially if you choose the white case like I did. The inside of the case is nice with a soft velvet like interior. There isnt a lot of space and I was concerned if my switch would even fit with games in the game holder but it actually all fits rather well. I dont feel like everything is smashed or cramped. They did a great job making this case as slim as possible while still maintaining a healthy amount of wiggle room. The middle game holder works great. The game holder also has a velvet material. I get nervous about that sometimes because Im concerned with the material building up a static charge against the came cards. Probably not a major concern but I’m a nerd so I think like that. The good part about the game holder being soft is that it wont scratch your screen. Overall this is a good case. The shell is good enough for your typical drops or spills but might not protect your Switch if you sat on, stepped on, or bent the case. Definitely wouldnt call it crush proof. Feel like it would definitely stop a small BB gun. The case acts as expected and like almost any other case would, however, I will say that this case has a little bit more attention to detail and overall quality. You can tell that the company actually put some thought and care into this. The YKK zipper is a nice touch too which shows that the company opted in for a bit more quality. I wouldnt expect this zipper to get into a bind anytime soon. Im looking forward to my next road trip because I will definitely be keeping my Switch OLED in this case when I do.

> 3 dayIts a good case. Very sturdy, but I purchased it thinking it would fit my switch in the mumba case but it didnt. The previous slim case did fit my original switch with same case, but this one is just too slim.

> 3 daySo I saw this case briefly and made an impulse but because of TomTocs reputation and the nice camo pattern. I placed my order THEN decided to read up a little more on it while I waited for its arrival. I started to get worried because all the statements were only mentioning the OLED model. I couldnt find any one stating compatibility with the original at this point. I decided to be cool and just wait for it to actually arrive before jumping the gun to initiate a return. It was a good call. The TomToc case fits the Original Switch just fine. It is a minimalist case but if you just need something quick to hold the Switch console/controllers and a few game cartridges (or SD cards) then this is fine. It can always be thrown in a bigger bag or carry on where you can place your power supply or just a USB C cable & a battery bank to cover all your travel bits & bobs. Its well designed, well made, and has good zippers and an optional hand strap. Worth a good $twentyish dollars IMO. Keep up the good work, TomToc! I own several of your bags and cases and really enjoy everything Ive picked up from your brand so far. - Happy to make the Switch to TomToc for my travel protection needs.

Greater than one weekpretty sturdy, rigid case. will definitely protect your switch from almost everything short of a hard fall or an impact of some sort. I dont worry about my Switch when I travel with it in my bag.

> 3 dayThe case is super sturdy, feels great. Zippers are high quality and they include a little wrist band as well. I got the blue gradient color and its a nice color I like it, but its little tacky.. never the less its a nice color and its done well. I cant really tell if the joystick bumps actually line up with the joysticks though? Its a snug case but the switch has a small amount of room to move left or right so its just hard to tell if the bumps actually line up. Im assuming that they do once the case is completely closed and zipped up. But its just tough to tell. If I end up getting joycon drift Ill definitely update this for sure but Id assume that theyd done the measurements right and Ill assume so until proven otherwise. And if proven otherwise Ill update this review but so far everything is super great! I think its a great option especially if youre like me and want something super slim.

> 3 dayI couldn’t be happier with the quality and protection of this case. I love that there are two soft pads on each side of the Switch, it puts my mind at ease if I were to bump it or drop it in its case. I highly recommend if you just bought a new OLED Switch, protect your investment!
