I got this switch because I had more devices that needed a wired connections than I had wired connections available! I attend a large public university (30,000+) so the wifi is often pretty slow but the ethernet connection is usually exceptional. Each of our rooms only has one ethernet port per person so I needed to create more connections so I could connect both my PS3 and my laptop. This product did the job and I got good, reliable internet speeds.

These inexpensive switches have worked great for me so far. Not a single complain from me.

This switch works perfectly in my home network. I simply plugged it in and immediately expanded my network from only a few available ports to many available ports. So far all of the TP-Link products that I have purchased have been a great value for the money.

Does its job better that I expected. I bought this for my homemade server. It worked great til i no longer needed it.

Let me be clear about this. This is NOT a 5-Star product, but it deserves a 5-star rating. This is a very basic, non-configurable, plug and play, unmanaged switch. It literally has no features. It is designed to do one thing, and one thing only. And, it does that one thing extremely well. Would I buy another one? Yes. Yes I would.
