> 3 dayThis is not a switch, its a hub, and exactly what I needed. Couldnt be easier to use. I ran this to my switch, got my home theater equipment. My bluray player; AV Receiver; projector; Sonos; PS4; and Firebox now get all their updates without issues. Best $13 ever spent.

> 3 dayThis desktop switch does what it say it will does. It provides 8 ports that allow you to expand your network. I have my router that has 4 wired ports, which were quickly filled. So I plugged a cable from my router to the switch and then the switch allows me to have more ports. Its kinda like an extension cord for your ethernet. That being said you need to plug a router into this switch to work properly. It will not work without a router to route the data thru the switch to the right place. It has been running 24x7 for months now without any incident. I have other TP Link products that have also worked great for me. I recommend this switch if you want to wire your house with a hard wired internet. I keep my wireless turned off almost all the time, as it may negatively affect your health. So wired is much safer and this switch allows you to do it affordable.

> 3 dayI bought one eight port TP-LINK switch and two five-port switches. The five port switches worked without problems, but the 8-port switch would not support a stable link for a sixth connection. The link kept dropping and reconnecting every two or three seconds. I got a replacement 8-port switch but it too had the same problem. Ill try another brand and see how that works.
