It works really well. Ive seen ethernet splitters at Walmart for upwards of $50. This product is inexpensive and worked really well. I tested it with all my devices and they ran smoothly. The only reason why Im giving four stars is because the directions/manual were really confusing. I bought an 8-port model and included was a diagram for a 5-port model. The diagram showed what to plug where and I could not figure out whether the order of the ethernet cables were important, and whether or not the router (ethernet cable) had to be at the last port or the fifth one (as indicated by the diagram). Since we have a Google Hub, it just made it a lot more complicated than it had to be. It wasnt working for the first 30 minutes because of all the different connections (one of which was wrong). If the directions/diagrams were more concise without the guess-work and my fault (the over-analyzation), it would have saved a lot more time and frustration.

Needed to expand our office network and this was an easy and inexpensive way to do it. As usual, Amazons free shipping and handling were first-rate, with item arriving in just a couple of days.

Plugged it right into my Linksys router for an additional 7 RJ-45 ports. Exactly what I needed as I just added more devices to the network and wired the house for internet connections in almost every room. Great product at a great price!

I had a 5 port version of this switch and have been using it for 5-6 years without any issue. I purchased this 8 port one as I needed more ports to reach out to all of the rooms in the house. No problem at all. Great value for the price.
