The colors were vivid, the instructions were clear & even gave us a few ideas to use.

Used one box for a birthday party of 12 kids! Each was able to dye their shirts with plenty of it left! Would recommend!

These dyes worked great just didnt have enough to dye all our items! The package indicates that it can dye 36 items but we didnt find that to be the case. We dyed 17 pieces (6 kids shirts, 6 adult shirts and 5 pairs adult boxers briefs) and ran out after that. We didnt heavily soak our items with dye, some actually came out quite white. We ended up needing to get 2 kits to finish our dying. Also, the first case of colored dye we received didnt give us all the colors it mentioned on the outside of the box. We were given an extra blue and one less green. The second set we ordered was fine.

Instructions were clear and final results were great!! My boys (3 and 9) did their own BY THEMSELVES! I just banded the shirts for them. This was such a fun activity for a Sunday. Of course I tried to get fancy with mine and had a couple of dye dots, but I still think it looks great! We have enough colors and bands leftover to do it again soon with different patterns. I can’t wait to try the pastel colors in the future. Used on 100% cotton plain white shirts. They did not express how careful you should be with this dye (it stains the skin) just make sure to wear old clothes and put rubber bands around the gloves at your wrists. We did the job outside on a sunny day. We put the dyed shirts in baggies and waited 24 hours and left them in the sun before rinsing then washing them. I’m obsessed and snatching every plain white piece of fabric around the house for round 2- nothing is safe!!!

A couple of the bottles wouldn’t screw lids on tight and came spilled in the case so that was a waste. The lids don’t hold the liquid tight and they do leak a bit and don’t last very long so you’ll need several colors to do a shirt. Colors turned out well when left to sit for a few days.

We had about 6 kids over for a party plus parents. I ordered one bc of reviews that said one is enough. When I got it the bottles were so small so I got another. We used one full out plus 4 bottles from the 2nd with the popular colors. This is my first time doing this. But I attached a photo to show two different results after rinse and wash. On the first photo on the top is a vibrant one, on the bottom is a ok one but a little faded, it looked so good before washing it. Most of mine faded after wash and I followed instructions. I let both stew in the bag for 17 hours. So here are my tips, if you want vibrant and contrast in the result, you must tie the bands tight AND be very generous with the dye. It is easy to use half a bottle on one tee shirt. So each bin comes with two bottles of each color (or at least the popular colors). So if you get one and you are worried it wont last for all the projects you want to do, you will not saturate the shirt enough because you want everyone to have enough dye. So I would advise get another box just in case. And then make sure you are using the tightness of the band to prevent the dye from dying the fabric and then generously apply the dye so that it really gets into the fabric. If you dont put enough and the bands arent tight enough then it will fade during the rinse and wash. But I havent tested my theory. In the future if I really want vibrant I would probably do it without the party so I can focus on mine being really good and vibrant. I even dyed a few for myself before the party but I was concerned about using up too much dye so they first looked amazing but when I rinsed and washed and dried they faded a lot and the white spots got a smidge bluish. The other two photos you can see the range of results I got.

My 2 & 4 yos and I made T-shirts using these dyes. They were extremely easy to use. You just add water and shake! We did this outside using a step stool covered in a plastic bag with paper towels on top and then had a wire cookie drying rack that we worked on (definitely needed) and I used some kid nitrile gloves that I had for my little ones. Each child picked two colors and that was enough dye for them each to do two xs childrens shirts (ie two dye bottles -> two shirts). I also picked two colors and that was not quite sufficient to do two adult shirts in the dry tie-dying style (I needed just a bit more dye). We let them sit overnight wrapped in cling wrap, rinsed them out with a hose on the lawn, washed in hot water in the washing machine and then dried. I havent had them bleed with that treatment onto other clothes. The colors are VIVID and the red is RED (not pink) and the dark blue is a darkish blue. Well be doing more in the future for other projects! (xmas gifts for grandparents of reusable grocery bags, tote bags, shirts, etc). This was my first attempt and I LOVED 3 of the 6 shirts we made (they looked professional and store-bought), and liked another 2. The last one was ahh but it had some mistakes made (wrong-colored ink getting through since I didnt change the paper towels under the rack between projects). For my kids I cut plastic bags to add holes for arms & head and put that on them to keep them safe in case they went crazy with the dye. It wasnt necessary but was good piece of mind. The 4yo didnt need much supervision but the 2yo needed some help.

We were very impressed with how vibrant the colors came out! We bought this kit to use as an activity for a family get together event at our daycare. I saw a few of the shirts after they had been washed, and I was super impressed how great the colors came out. Most people used 100% cotton shirts, but I happen to have a 60 cotton/40 polyester t-shirt that I tried out, and even with the 40% polyester, it turned out very well. 100% cotton was definitely more vibrant, but I wouldnt stress if I couldnt fine a 100% cotton shirt (they arent easy to find, since everything has poly nowadays). Great variety of colors- especially enjoyed the teal and navy, and surprisingly, the black turned out really nice with other brighter colors.
