> 3 dayLike most people here, I got this for the Nintendo Switch to see if I can get better speeds than what I get from my wifi connection. Heres what I found: On Wifi, my Nintendo Switch is pulling anywhere between 40-50mbps download/between 18-24mbps upload. Not terrible (for online gaming standards) but could be better. After hooking this up and giving it the near 3 minutes for the Switch to recognize it (this is even after manually selecting wired connection on the network list), I ran the tests on AT&Ts 1Gbps network: I STARTED with 71mbps but then it dropped down to between 45-50mbps download and constantly stayed there/maintained 27-32mbps Upload and constantly stayed there. So it WAS an upgrade but not a major one. However, I wanted to do one more test. I brought over my HP Spectre laptop and hooked it up to the USB A port (had to go online to download the drivers so it wasnt just plug-n-play). Ran the tests and got a whopping 970mbps download/975mbps upload speed. CLEARLY, this is fault of the Switchs hardware despite me wondering what the heck some reviewers here did to uncover 100mbps. I gave the Switch a Static IP, moved the MTU to 1550 (dont want to go too far with that), bypassed firewalls, and set the DNS to Cloudflare but what I got above is what stands here. So this USB peripheral easily gets the job done on most devices but dont expect Sonic-speed on the Switch (again, this is the Switchs hardware). Only thing I can think of is that it may be better if you dont have a router/modem combo. Hooking this up directly to a modem instead of a router with those packet-scanning firewall protocols may get you better speeds. Great work UGreen!

Greater than one weekIt worked well for a few weeks, and then started abruptly failing in the middle of my work; the cause may be related to heating, since it does get rather warm.

> 3 daySo, Ive owned this item for a few months. From what I can tell it isnt a USB 3.0 just a basic USB. I get a consistent 40 down on my launch switch on 3.0 and on the normal USB ports with that said, I have speeds of 200 down on my other devices that are wired. Its too late for me to return it so I guess Ill just put up with it but just keep an eye on it if you decide to get one.

> 3 dayThis product is sourced from Asix Taiwan wheee you get driver updates. The company has been taking quite a while on driver updates for macOS Big Sur. Finally in December 2019 they made a beta driver available. But this requires a root level configuration to Disable System Integrity Protection.” This is not a good idea. Am writing this review to hopefully get the company to release a normal driver update foe Big Sur that is plug and play. Until then. Don’t buy.
