> 3 dayI feel like an idiot for trying to save money and buying this piece of junk. I should have just paid the extra $15 for the Apple one. The Apple one is plug-and-play. This one needs extra drivers installed which you need to disable system integrity protections just to install (which needs a reboot) and then it doesnt even work. The misspellings in the installation dialog should have tipped me off to the fact that this thing belongs in the trash, but instead I tried to install it and get it working. Ever since installing the drivers, my Mac now reboots twice every time I try to restart it. It reboots the first time then reboots again after 20 seconds. After that, its fine. At some point I need to dig into the logs and see what is causing this, but Id swear its from this adapter, since I never saw this behavior before disabling system integrity protections and installing the driver. Anyway, the adapter worked once briefly then didnt work at all. Uninstalled it by running the uninstaller (with more misspellings in the dialog). The device was still present in Network and I still have my reboot issue. Great. Now I probably junked up my Mac with some unremovable crapware. Dont be like me. Pay the extra $15 for the official Apple adapter and spare yourself the pain.

> 3 dayI have a MacBook Pro (mid 2019) with 2 USB C ports and I use adopter to connect monitor, speaker, and other devices and they all work the way they should - not the UGREEN Ethernet adapter. Tried to get support on line and found nothing, the company is in China and does not have any contact info for the any other country. Im returning mine and plan to avoid any UGREEN products.

> 3 daySo, Ive owned this item for a few months. From what I can tell it isnt a USB 3.0 just a basic USB. I get a consistent 40 down on my launch switch on 3.0 and on the normal USB ports with that said, I have speeds of 200 down on my other devices that are wired. Its too late for me to return it so I guess Ill just put up with it but just keep an eye on it if you decide to get one.

> 3 daySuddenly thrust into a situation like most of us - working from home, kids being homeschooled, 20+ devices connected to home wifi. Unsure how long this situation will last, I did not want to start adding hardwired ethernet ports to the kids rooms for school - this is ideal - no dropped classes, and I can take my time hardwiring each room myself.

> 3 dayVery content with my purchase of UGREEN USB 3.0 Gigabit Network Adapter. By computer standards 3 yrs is old. So 3 X 3 was about how old my laptop was. I gave it up because it is a Windows 7 computer and you know the story. I replaced it with a slim Notebook (Dont feel too sorry for it. I still give it stuff to do offline to make it feel useful and not get too jealous). This is relevant because it escaped my notice when I bought it that it had no built-in Ethernet port. Ooopsy! In a draw filled with electronic odds and ends (Yeah, Im a hoarder, wanna make something of it?) I found a USB Ethernet adapter I bought in 2017. I plugged it in my new computer, connected my modem to it. Well, Reader, it did not go well. The thing kept connecting and disconnecting with that sound your computer makes when it recognizes something you plug into it. Blibliblip!....Blibliblip! (Use your own rendition, if you prefer). In Network Connections I stared sullenly at the Adapter as it stated repeatedly that it was Connecting..., Identifying.... Blibliblip! I did something that rhymes with boogle desperately looking for help. I got all kinds of advice. Open Regedit...., Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type...., Open Device Manager, go into Advanced Settings...., Try a different Ethernet cable, Try a different computer, Download and install our utility. 100% success rate.. (Im desperate, not crazy). Not a single person suggested I try a different Ethernet Adapter. I came up with that by myself. UGREEN USB 3.0 Gigabit NETWORK ADAPTER TO THE RESCUE! I bought it at Amazon because I liked the way it looked. And, too, it got good user ratings. When I plugged it in it worked right away. No Blibliblip! It gave me the speed I was paying my ISP for. A bit of curious behaviour though: The Adapter felt oddly very warm when I started using it. I was a bit worried. Is it supposed to be this warm? Is this normal? It made me a little unsettled. Every now and again Id reach out to touch it; checking. But a day or two later I noticed it became almost cool to the touch while in use. I stopped worrying. Cool -or almost cool- is good. And it has remained that way with no issues for the few weeks Ive been using it. So go green, and get UGREEN!
