> 3 dayGreat product. It was plug-and-play. Got download speeds of 184 Mbps, see my screenshot! Tip: Setting the DNS to Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) got me the fastest speeds.

> 3 dayThis is a great product at a great price. Small wrestling match to get it installed, but once that was done, it works and its fast. I use it on a MacBook Air 11 Early 2015 running Catalina. I use it to live stream our churchs sermons. No issues whatsoever.

> 3 dayConfirm it DOES work on Mac Catalina (10.15.4), BUT not right out of the box... essential step missing (at least for me…) from installation guide and NOT intuitive... 1. Per .pdf guide downloaded with correct driver on the UGREEN website for P/N 50922, download and install macOS driver for ASIX AX88179 device, granting installation permission on the general tab in system preferences -> security & privacy, by unlocking padlock, etc. 2. Also per guide, re-boot, plug in adapter, and confirm driver loaded under about this Mac -> overview -> system report -> hardware -> USB,. It should indicate that AX88179 is running under USB 3.0 Bus. 3. Next, (and NOT in the guide…) grant permission to the DRIVER ITSELF! Right after you boot-up, on the general tab, under security & privacy, discretely, at the bottom of the pane it says, Some systems software was blocked from loading. Unlock the padlock and, using the allow button, select to enable ASIX ELECTRONICS CORPORATION from the list. 4. Once permission is granted to the driver, access system preferences -> network and there should be an entry for AX8817 Internet. Access should now work without adding anything further. (There may be instances where you have to create your own new service entry, by selecting the AX8817… interface, as per the guide). 5. To note, no lights will show on the dongle/adapter until you plug in an active network cable. When lights at the end of the adapter are flashing, temporarily turn off WIFI and check access to the wired Internet. (I had trouble with my VPN reserving certain DNS servers, via WIFI, so had to renew DHCP and double-check the DNS servers before full wired ethernet access to the Internet.) Bottom line, UGREEN USB 3.0 / Ethernet adapter works well on 2015 MacBook Air running Catalina, but built-in OS device security/permission attributes FOR THE DRIVER need to be manually unlocked/overcome to work correctly.

> 3 dayI wanted to avoid the 5Ghz wi-fi signal being broadcast in my home by my router, but still get close to the 300Mbps speed I am paying for with my internet service provided. The Fire Tv version 3 Cube only has a 10/100 ethernet port, but does have a USB type A input port so I bought this adapter to give it a try to see if I could get a better speed than using the 10/100 ethernet port. My speed test using a 25 ft. cat7 ethernet cable from the router to this adapter and then into the USB port of the Fire Tv Cube was 351Mbps. Success.. I was able to shut down the 5Ghz signal on my router, but did leave the 2.4Ghz signal on to use with my iphone.

> 3 dayAs others have already noted, this device is very well made and functions as expected. I have a Macbook Pro that required downloading and installing a driver. This was a nuisance and tedious, but it did after all function very well. I recommend this device.
