Could had longer lenght

Theres a small chance that I have an intermittent issue with the actual network, but everything was working on my previous mac. I upgraded to a 14-in macbook pro with M1 Pro chip - now I have unpreditible youre not online messages, which are autoresolved in about 5 seconds - and back online. This happens regulary. I simpley have my WIFI connected as a fallback to speed up the changeover to back online. This could be something irregular on my system so please take it with a grain of salt. Id only consider if there are a plethora of similiar reports as mine. YMMV.

Get error message that my new HP Pavilion does not recognize this adapter. Laptop has recognized a friends TP-Link with same capabilities so I know its not the laptop. While browsing Internet, it disconnects for no reason, have to unplug this adapter from my PC & plug back in. Other times it is not recognized upon laptop start up & have to do the plug / unplug trick. Thats not going to work long-term as one of the pins will likely break. Searched for any drivers but none exist. Nice sleek look but will have to go back.

Used as backup where wireless reliability is sketchy.

This works sometimes and then if I unplug it from my brand new macbook air and plug it back it, often it takes 5 minutes or so before it starts working again.

Now the spring clip of the Ethernet cable has nothing to engage in the adapters port, and ethernet cables wont snap in place. The result is that the spring tension from the contacts is usually sufficient to push out the cable enough to lose connectivity. Im guessing that several of the reviews about connections working for a few minutes, then not working, may be due to this same problem. Anyway, I think this adapter has a design flaw and should be avoided.
