After 26 minutes streaming audio, Only 81F within ambient 71F room temperature, with a battery drain of about 5%! Room temperature: 71F UGREEN Model: 50737 26 minutes: 81F, 5% battery drain ANKER Model: A8303 (nothing else plugged in except ethernet) 14 minutes: 91F, 6% battery drain ANKER Model A8361 (nothing else plugged in except ethernet) 14 minutes: 95F, 6% battery drain Then Anker devices just simply run way to hot. Likely no power saving functions are incorporated within their chips, and likely governed at full throttle all of the time. I think the Anker devices are 2-3 year old devices having no power saving features, while this UGreen Model 50737 is a very recent chip, boasting power saving features.

We are trying to reduce the need for WiFi our home, so we’ve used Ugreen ethernet adapters to make this happen and have been pleased with the result. This purchase was to hardwire a TiVo Stream to ethernet. I decided to buy a Ugreen over other options because of my familiarity with the product, but unfortunately this one didn’t work at all. When I went to make the return they made it right instantly, no questions asked. Within 12 hours they refunded my account, and I didn’t even need to go to UPS to drop it off. That goes a long way with me. I should also note, a Ugreen micro usb I had on hand from another device DID work for connecting our TiVo stream. As long as they stay a company that has integrity, I will continue to use their products.

Works as described. No issues. Arrived promptly.

You have to buy a CAT8 ETHERNET CABLE TO POSSIBLY GET THE FULL BENEFITS THIS ADAPTER OFFERS I WISH I KNEW THAT BEFORE I BOUGHT A CAT 6 CABLE AND LOST MY RECEIPT. ANYHOW I THINK ALL THE ADAPTERS WILL PERFORM BETTER WITH A HIGHER QUALITY CAT7 OR CAT 8 CABLE. CAT6 DIDNT REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR MY LAPTOP. Don’t know how “sheerness” applies to this but I have a MacBook Air and it has no Ethernet port. This solved that problem perfectly.

I bought this in case I needed to somehow connect my cell phone to my router or or plug an ethernet cable into something that needed internet. Could be a credit card machine laptop anything and this works perfect with my Galaxy s22 ultra.
