I just got it out of the box yesterday and immediately was disappointed with the quality. I have two other Ultimate Guard deck boxes, a Flip n Tray 80+ and a Duel Flip n Tray 200+. Just comparing the 100+ to the 80+ I was understandably disappointed, and a bit angry, when I saw not only glue marks from where the glue overflowed on certain edges, but the dice and card trays felt flimsy like if I put any real force into them I would break them, add on to that fact with the dice tray is a pain to take in and out, with the micro fiber was basically ripped at the corner of the trays, and I flipped it upside down where I noticed the microfiber had been ripped revealing the cardboard like material underneath. The Xenoskin exterior was more soft than my other deck boxes, I really cant describe it any other way. Finally the seams are bad too, the flap over the dice is unevenly cut making it not really line up right. I think I was given a used version, and considering I thought it was going to be new from how the seller is advertising it, this does not make me pleased. It was $20 buck with tax, and I got a disappointing box that may not survive my up coming trip with how cheap it feels. I also dont have time to send it back for a new one either. So all and all I dont expect the great things I wanted it to do for me, after my trip I may update to say whether the box survived or not and how it died. But if it does survive I would never use it again, and will most likely return it. As a reminder, all my complaints here are not after years of use, or even a day of use, I had pulled it out of the box yesterday and these are the problems that I found with a light inspection.

Ultimate Guards sidewinder 80 is my favorite deckbox, so i gave this a shot. The format of the flaps and the trays for each deck area/middle compartment give it a bit extra bulk, and is a bit awkward to find the best orientation for easy access. I ended up finding it to be a good place to put my staple spells/traps respecitvely in each side, and my field centers and tokens in the center (after removing the dice tray). For yugioh its a bit large, but thats most every deckbox as they are made for standard size like mtg/pokemon. Overall though, ultimate guard quality cant be beat, the magnets and closures are strong too. Well made.

I ordered this deck box for the sole purpose of carrying my LCG decks. I currently play The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, and wanted a large enough deck box to hold two player decks and the encounter deck. The current quest Im playing is the final of the Core Set. This deck box holds all the decks and tokens wonderfully. The two player decks comprise about 100 cards, which I have double-sleeved using Dragon Shield Perfect Fit and Dragon Shield Matte sleeves. One player deck and half of the other fits completely in one card tray. The other card tray houses the other half of the second player deck, the encounter deck, the threat dials, a handful of Ultimate Guard card dividers, a Fisher Space pen and a few sheets of paper I use for various purposes. The token tray houses normal-sized d10 and d20, as well as a small dice bag filled with Chessex stones and 10mm dice. The petrol color is awesome and my favorite of the Twin FlipnTray options. Though I keep the deck box at home, I imagine it will be sturdy on the move. I was worried about the magnets inadvertently loosening, but they are snappy and secure. The Professor knows what hes talking about. However, after watching some of The Professors reviews on Gamegenic current offerings, Im very intrigued. I dont have complaints with Ultimate Guards non-removable flaps; I never even considered a company would make them removable.

I bought my first flip n try about 3 years ago. It seems they have gone through a couple revisions. I ordered 3, A white one which I rate at 4 stars a green and a blue which I rate at 3 maybe 2 stars because the quality is extremely questionable. The white Flip n try still had the same ultimate guard logo on the side (pic 1) but the cut outs where the decks are placed are oval like the green and blue while the black one is squared (pic 2) this is the same on the inside also. Quality still feels the same on the xenoskin a little less textured but that may be cause its new but this is for the white one. For the green and blue the xenoskin feels way off, it barely has the texture of the one I purchased a couple years ago, it is almost slick to the touch. One thing that really stuck out was the way the inside was assembled. As soon as I opened the green deck box the glue came apart on one of the compartments thats when I noticed it was made different (pic 3). I feel like this creates a huge failure point in its construction where it will eventually slide off or come out, compared to the old black one I have, which the way it was made makes it look more then just glued onto the inside. This new change also creates an unsightly wavy pattern when the deck box is closed (pic 4). For the dice trays the blue one was larger then the others and had scuffed marks on the outside (pic 5) in the inside there was glue with some fraying and a black mark (pic 6). I am only going to write one review for the 3 products I purchased. I really love ultimate guard products as I have the quadrow zipfolio, a 18 pocket zipfolio a single flip n tray for my standard deck and the old black flip n tray 200, which I love them all. But these new ones I got make me question if ultimate guards quality has gone down. Hopefully my jumbled mess of a review warns people on what to expect when looking to purchase one of these again and if the new changes are worth this price.

This deck box has exceeded my expectations. The price itself does sting, but Im completely enjoying it the week or so Ive spent with it so far. It feels very high quality, and durable, I feel like I can drop this without a worry of my cards getting damaged. The interior is a nice soft micro fiber as they state, and it does come with a tray for both your cards and tokens/dice. I was surprised at how big the deck box was, I honestly expected it to be smaller, even though it turned out bigger than I expected, I still love the thing. It appears I received a newer version though, Ill include some pictures as Im not sure its what anyone who orders now will get, the new one has much less Ultimate Guard branding, the man with the arms is only branded on the inside and underneath the deck box, the Ultimate Guard name alone on the front flap, and it does keep the FlipnTray branding on top, overall for the better in my opinion, oh right, also the trays are branded, the smaller tray has Ultimate Guard on one end, and the bigger tray has the man and two arms on its end (opposite side of where you grab the trays from), the trays also look more ergonomic for pulling them out with rounded bell shaped cutouts, instead of the more blocky style pictured on Amazon. Id recommend this case as it really feels worth the money, Im not entirely sure how durable it is, but if it breaks down within the next month Ill go ahead and update my review, but so far it feels tough, high quality, and a joy to use.

Very sturdy and keeps everything nice and neat. Even being thrown in a game bag the flap stays closed and keeps everything in its place.

Positives: +Sturdy protection +Vibrant Color +Removable dice tray +Strong Magnets Negatives -Sleeved cards do not fit in the removable deck tray the same side as the finger hole. I am using ultimate guard katana sleeves, but the sleeved cards do not the opening, but rather one of the walls. I’d like to open the deck box and have the cards facing me.

Okay so, this is a bit of false advertisement but not really, just hear me out. It says it holds 100 double sleeved cards and 120 single sleeved cards BUT, I tried to put 100 double sleeved cards for my commander deck and I can say for certain that only about 90 fit and theyre also pretty hard to put inside the box due to the material it is made out of on the inside. Other than that, the price is right, the box overall is great, I just had to remove the small box for the cards so I can actually fit all my cards in it. The dice drawer is perfect and fits all the dice and counters I need. Overall 3 stars because of that problem. Thanks for reading!

I bought this thinking it would fold my commander deck since it said it held 120+ cards. Sadly it did not, but would probably hold a 60 card deck. The box seemed to be pretty sturdy though.

The quintessential Ultimate Guard deck box: a timeless design with strong magnetic closure, card and dice trays for safe storage of your deck, and a resistant but smooth Xenoskin surface.
