I bought my first flip n try about 3 years ago. It seems they have gone through a couple revisions. I ordered 3, A white one which I rate at 4 stars a green and a blue which I rate at 3 maybe 2 stars because the quality is extremely questionable. The white Flip n try still had the same ultimate guard logo on the side (pic 1) but the cut outs where the decks are placed are oval like the green and blue while the black one is squared (pic 2) this is the same on the inside also. Quality still feels the same on the xenoskin a little less textured but that may be cause its new but this is for the white one. For the green and blue the xenoskin feels way off, it barely has the texture of the one I purchased a couple years ago, it is almost slick to the touch. One thing that really stuck out was the way the inside was assembled. As soon as I opened the green deck box the glue came apart on one of the compartments thats when I noticed it was made different (pic 3). I feel like this creates a huge failure point in its construction where it will eventually slide off or come out, compared to the old black one I have, which the way it was made makes it look more then just glued onto the inside. This new change also creates an unsightly wavy pattern when the deck box is closed (pic 4). For the dice trays the blue one was larger then the others and had scuffed marks on the outside (pic 5) in the inside there was glue with some fraying and a black mark (pic 6). I am only going to write one review for the 3 products I purchased. I really love ultimate guard products as I have the quadrow zipfolio, a 18 pocket zipfolio a single flip n tray for my standard deck and the old black flip n tray 200, which I love them all. But these new ones I got make me question if ultimate guards quality has gone down. Hopefully my jumbled mess of a review warns people on what to expect when looking to purchase one of these again and if the new changes are worth this price.

The Ultimate Guard Flip-N-Tray is an excellent deck box overall. This design was, to my knowledge, originally made by Ultimate Guard, and has since been imitated by other brands (the BCW Deck Locker LX/LT, for instance - I dont mean to trash talk them though, as BCWs version is pretty good, and their 100-size version is designed differently). Ultimate Guards Flip-N-Tray is really well-made - its durable, sturdy, and admittedly very nice-looking. I bought this box hoping to put in about 95 double-sleeved Magic: the Gathering cards (a 60-card deck with tokens and some extra cards). To my surprise, the included deck tray didnt fit them very well, and I had to take out about 14 cards for a comfortable fit. Evidently, it holds about 80 double-sleeved cards no problem, which is sufficient for me, but if youve got a double-sleeved Commander deck, you should be aware that it might not fit into the included tray. Having said all that, Ultimate Guard does have the Boulder deck box line, which consists of super-compact deck boxes designed to hold either 80 or 100 double sleeved cards. Those boxes should fit into their respective Flip-N-Trays, so Id recommend taking a look at getting a 100-size Boulder as well.

If you want a box that fits your dice, and deck (60 or 100 card) and you want the best in the business, this is the deck box you want to buy. I call it the Cadillac of deck boxes because its the most sturdy/stable/quality, but the size of the box means it takes up more space than traditional smaller/cheaper deck boxes. If youre bringing a few decks in a backpack and want to keep them secure, Id go with these. If you have over 30+ decks, this isnt sustainable and storing your decks in other means (multi-row white boxes with smaller deck boxes) would be what youd want to do.

Love the design and the simplicity of this flip deck box, however, I did notice a few things that threw the whole idea off for me. The feel of the texture and the magnets are all very premium, but I did notice that the sliding tray that holds the cards themselves is very tight horizontally. Dragon shield sleeves would barely fit width-wise so I actually ended up swapping out the nice leatherette trays for the cardboard ones from the fat packs just for the security knowing that my cards werent being bent in any way. I did notice that the Ultimate Gaurd 100+ soft shell deck box fit into both slots like a glove which is wonderful

This product felt very solid and is overall a fantastic box. However, I had to return it as it would not fit my double sleeved commander deck. I believe I will fit most double sleeved decks but the Dragonshield mattes and Dragonshield inners were too thick to fit in one of the compartments comfortably. If you are using a different combination of sleeves it may fit your deck. Lovely product and I wish it could have worked for me.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I know my cards will be safe as well as my dice that I use for counters in Yu-Gi-Oh! At first I was skeptical about ordering but as soon as it showed up. It had its own beautiful box that it came in. Thank you for purchasing cards and so much more. This was just awesome to have!

Love the feel and quality of the case. Magnets are just strong enough to keep everything feeling secure and tucked in. Mine arrived dented pretty badly on one side but I think thats the mail carrier unfortunately :(

Its a very nice case. Its safely holds my double sleeved commander. The only complaint is some of the stitching is falling apart after a few days of use.

Got this deck box for my hubby. Found out that it does not work well with some of the standard card sleeves that most shops carry. You will need sleeves that are thinner to be able to hold an entire MTG Commander deck.

Great looking deck box. Its well built, magnets are very strong, all the flaps fold smoothly. This is perfect for two Commander decks. But, I cant see how this would be able to fit double-sleeved commander decks though. Both my Commander decks are single sleeved and they both fit in with some room to spare (this is including the usual 10 token cards, sleeved): See pictures for reference. In my opinion, if you had a double sleeved commander deck, it would be a very tight/snug fit; Personally, I prefer my decks to be a bit loose fitting for easy ingress and egress so I dont risk damaging any cards. Also as a side note, SLEEVED token cards will NOT fit flush in the center token caddy: See photo. Not really a big deal, but its worth mentioning. The sleeves Im using are standard sized Dragonshield, not the Perfect Fit kind.
