> 3 dayBeautiful scanner. Moving from a Grecom psr700, the control is not so intuitive as I used to though. With less buttons on the grecom, I found my old scanner simpler to use. The close call functionality is still a misstory to me even after 3 or 4 YouTube videos. The build quality is first class. A good buy.

> 3 dayThis does not have the 700 mhz frequency and the reception is crappy. You get what you pay for.

Greater than one weekVery simple scanner. its a Christmas present for my father. The only down side is the light does not have a dim function. They have cats and i love that the controls are on the front. Prevents pets from walking across and messing it up. I am also using the bracket to secure it to the mantle where it will be installed so it can not be knocked off and destroyed by clumsy cats or people. It does take a little while to learn to program but there are videos to help. You may want to get a stronger antenna.

> 3 daySo when I first started using this scanner, it felt like it was impossible to program and then the light bulb went off. All you have to do is start your scan- when you find a channel you want to save to the private bank, push the buttons for the pd/fire until they disappear at the top and then push the air/marine until that disappears. All that is left is the private bank- hit program and then bank channel will flash- choose the number of the bank you want to save then hit program and that frequency is now locked in and when you hit search, it will only search the bank you have selected. If you want to go back to searching the other bands, just hit the corresponding button ans it will scan that bank. If you have specific frequencies that you want to add, hit the private button and it will start to scan. then hit hold and then the up or down button until you have reached the next frequency.

> 3 dayI was initially dissappointed with the reception using the included metal antenna. Connecting an outdoor dualband magmount antenna to my metal roof allowed the radio to receive aircraft as they fly by. The receiver works best with a outdoor antenna.

Greater than one weekI use this scanner in my Jeep. It was easy enough to mount next to the CB. Antennas for fiberglass shells are hard to come by, so I got creative with a magnet mount, and a little hardware. Seems to receive signals satisfactory.

> 3 dayBought one for my daughter and one for my son and one for my own present. A great scanner at a reasonable price. Easy to use, but real professional ability to program by reading the detailed manual. We live in Lake County, CA where we need to have them to keep track of the wildfires in our area, as well as weather forecasts, police and sheriff, and ambulance calls.

> 3 dayIs it a great scanner? No. Is it a decent scanner in an area with only analog comms? Definitely. Dont expect the world from it, but it works well for what it is.
