> 3 dayThe scanner is easy to set up and works very well. Uniden is a good brand. Before this one I had a 16 channel that I got in 1992 and it still works flawlessly. I just upgraded because I wanted something a little newer because my mom wanted the older one

> 3 dayDoes everything I need it do and is simple to use. Has the police, fire, ems etc channel capability, plus the 24/7 National Weather Service channel, and the FM radio. The NWS channel is on there automatically, you have to store which emergency channels you want and which fm channels you want. You also have the option to have it alert you when there’s a weather warning in your area.

> 3 dayI could not get it to program so I returned it. Amazon was very accomadating in refunding my money. Also I found out later that it would have become useless. Police Departments are going digital and are encrypting their messages and the noise I heard on my friends scanner was very irritating and he had to turn it down. You can listen to the EMS ,but not the P.D.
