Wasnt too complicated to set it up. Downside is it seems to interfere w the cellular or wifi signal if youre close to the unit

I bought this for the aircraft band. Ive got Jax high altitude, Jax, Craig, St Aug, NAS, Herlong, and Cecil Field all programmed in. Everything is pretty straightforward and simple to use. Didnt even need the owners manual. The marine band scans so fast its crazy...I bought the refurbished unit, a great deal.

Decent scanner, but not very easy to program. The instructions are not clear at all. I ended up returning it.

Pros: Nice clean design. Relatively easy to program. Turn banks on and off at will. A full 500 channels with no pre-programmed banks to waste your time. Good Sensitivity. Antenna always stays upright. Clock radio and weather alert feature a small bonus. Cons: Only goes to 512 MHz - missing the 800 MHz band. Speaker is small and sound is somewhat tinny.

Received the unit quickly from seller. Unit was as advertised. This unit is easy to set up and use. I live in a small rural town (under 10,000) and this unit picks up all activity in my area. If you need your area frequency numbers go to radiofrequency.com and find your state, county and city. There is a list of frequencies there. If you need help setting up your unit there are some short videos by Uniden demonstrating a typical setup which is very easy.

Direct tuning should be more obvious and intuitive. Punching the numbers for a frequency does not tune to that one. Perhaps I am missing something.

Simple and easy to program. Good for scanning basic police fire and emergency communications. Priority channels easy to program and change. Not much use for alarm clock features but has a timer you can set to turn off when Not in use. 10 banks can be programmed for Priority use or can be turned off in an instant. Good value for the price.

In scanner mode press to start a limit search or to resume searching. In service select mode press to select police service. In fm mode, press to select the fm1 from memory bank. Note-if scanner receives interference or electrical noise move the scanner or its antenna away from the source. Recommend changing the height or angle of the antennas.
