Decided to build a projector screen (PVC board) for our patio area for nighttime movies. Since it is outside, I didnt want to trying to mount a projector and found out about short throw units like this. Screen size is 138 (diagonal), projector is about 7 away, and only 15 off the ground. I built a custom stand to allow quick tilting and levelling adjustments. This unit is awesome! Nice and bright, clear HD picture (Chromecast TV HDMI dongle), zoom/focus/keystone adjustments are simple to do quickly from the top of the unit and were good to go. Very satisfied!

Ich habe lange gesucht und schließlich mit dem Viewsonic PX706HD Kurzdistanzbeamer das Maß aller Dinge für meinen Einsatz gefunden. Ich verwende ihn als Projektor für meinen Golfsimulator mit einer 4:3 Darstellung und war mir nicht sicher ob ein HD-Beamer die richtige Wahl dafür ist. Aber die Qualität bei der gewünschten Darstellung mit 1400x1050 Pixeln ist überragend. Bei 2.10 Meter Abstand zur Leinwand habe ich eine Bildbreite von 2.80 Metern, ohne den Zoom zu verwenden. Durch das verbaute optische Zoom ist die optimale Anpassung an den gewünschten Abstand perfekt möglich. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Great projector. Plenty bright Unfortunately, my HP Laptop with UHD video card is outside the range of what it accepts. Need to create a firmware update so the projector can process the signal. The projector works fine with older HP laptops, Microsoft Surface and Samsung tablet.

Hdr is a joke. Color accuracy is bad. Black level is terrible. I compared it with benq 585p and the color and black level on the 500$ projector is way better. Only problem is 585 does not support hdr or 4k input. I returned it because of bad black-level and picture looking washed out.

I currently purchased this projector and an optoma 1080hdrx both were amazing projectors both are solid but this one once I tweaked the colours in settings is far more superior the crisp 4k image and colours I am getting with this are insane when you first buy it its set on an ugly picture mode that gives it a yellow tint but once you customize the colours with the software provided it destroys the other projectorsm I compared the image quality side by side with the high end 1080p even the contrast was amazing once tweaked very happy with my purchase it also has auto Keystone which is a bonus thank you viewsonic for making an amazing product

Very good projector if you dont have a lot of room to work with! The picture quality is great! The speaker sounds like regular TV speakers so if youre used to that you wont mind. Does blow out some heat but the fan works well to keep it cool.

For the pricepoint I wanted to buy at, this projector has worked great. I use it every day, and am typing this review on it. I do need to turn on all the shades by day in order to see a clear picture. As other reviews noted, the dark black is so black sometimes the projector is on and I dont even notice (Im guessing theres a screensaver option I havent figured out). I sadly do notice the rainbow effect on this projector when watching high-motion video. I have played computer games on it without the rainbow effect, so I only noticed it on a few action shows I watch. I had no idea what the rainbow effect was before researching it, but basically its a problem that will come with any DLP projector. All in all, the purchase left me wondering if there is a better model for $200-300 more which would have been fine for me to purchase. Overall though I am happy with it and no major complaints. Zero regrets buying a projector though I am sure with as much use as I get from it Ill expect to change the bulb or projector within a few years.

Bought this in Nov2022 and according to the lamp usage details I am nowhere near the life of the lamp but as of May 2023 it was already dead. I mean the projector was completely dead. Month 1: great, bright picture Month 2: noticed two dead pixels that show up as bright white dots but decided to live with it Month 3-6: picture seemed a bit darker or fuller as time went on Month 6: no longer turns on. The Lamp indicator light next to the buttons is red. Viewsonic said I would need to mail it to them to troubleshoot and repair.

Grundsätzlich ein interessantes Gerät, nur zu laut, irritierende Fernbedienung und schlechte Produktbeschreibung. Womöglich hab ich auch nicht richtig gelesen, aber der Beamer ist entweder als Offset oder zum hinstellen (aber dann niedrig) zu gebrauchen. Bild ist gut, von der Schärfe hätte ich mir aber mehr erwartet. Ich hab jetzt einen optoma hd27, der hat nur Full HD, ist aber gefühlt nicht so viel schlechter für einfache Serien etc. , außerdem hab ich das Gefühl, dass er nach zieht. Das Schlimmste ist aber die unglaubliche Lautstärke im Gegensatz zu meinen Optoma. Selbst in Eco Modus brüllt der los und bei mir ist das Gerät auch noch halbwegs abgeschirmt. Keine Ahnung, wie man das ignorieren kann. In Summe zu wenig, geht direkt wieder zurück.
