I was sent a USED item even though I paid for a BRAND NEW monitor. First off, I will say that I love VTech and this clearly isn’t their fault. Their products work amazing and I love them. This camera and monitor work just fine, thankfully. The issue is with Amazon. They sent me a used item that wasn’t even packaged properly. The monitor and camera were loose inside the box. It is also missing the mounting hardware which I really need.

The camera works great! It comes with a plaque to hang it on the wall but is still easy to remove from plaque when needed to be used in another room. You can talk through the camera and play music and sounds that are preprogrammed on it to sooth baby. I love the fact that I can move the camera too.

I had the vtech 5inch baby monitor (non wifi) but it was only one camera. With 2 kids, i knew I had to invest in a double camera monitor. However, i wanted one that was specifically non wifi, and after searching and doing lots of research and reading reviews, I finally came across this one. I loved my first vtech camera, and this one was seemed to be pretty much the same with upgraded features. It doesnt use wifi, you can tilt the camera up and down and side to side for the perfect view, you can also view in split mode (or switch back and forth between them). The battery has been amazing as well. For $100 its a great deal. I have my babys room pitch black and I can still clearly see my baby. The only downside is that it doesnt have a kickstand like my other vtech camera. So it only stands up on flat surfaces. I definitely recommend this camera. Ive looked at every other brand thats out there and the reviews were always on and off. I didnt want to spent over $200 and end up not liking it. Im glad I tried this one.

Overall, a very good monitor and I got it for a great price! It was time to ditch the 1 camera in my toddlers room and we opted for this 2 camera system. The signal is actually fantastic compared to my old infant optics. Comes with wall mounts and hardware. We mounted it upside down near the ceiling so we can get a good view of her entire room. Unfortunately my youngest isn’t fond of his crib yet so we haven’t really used the split screen too much, but we have tested it out and looks good! Big screen which is an upgrade from the old monitor. It has a shushing sound you can turn on that helped soothe my son, I find this feature really cool. I do wish it came with two chargers for the parent unit, but the battery is actually impressive at the moment (if you have it on battery saving mode), so I don’t find myself having to move the charger often. I have had two issues: -one day out of nowhere, the temperature of my toddlers room just disappeared from the parent unit. I looked everywhere on all the settings playing around to no avail. Finally decided to unplug and plug back in the camera in her room and the temperature came back. I’m glad I was able to fix it easily but I was so irked that it even happened. -the parent unit suddenly has something loose inside of it. Like, something is moving around on the inside when you lightly shake it. It’s not affecting the functionality as of today (had the monitor for two months almost I think). We have never dropped it. I just hope it doesn’t end up crapping out altogether.

I love that the connection is amazing! I can go anywhere in my house and never lose connection. The only thing is the picture quality at night time is terrible. Very blurry and can’t barley make out my babe.. I haven’t tried it out in a crib yet so could be better close up. Wish it had a wide angle view as well.

We are so happy with this baby monitor! The picture is great, even at night. The swivel feature is great, you can move and zoom the camera if baby moves around in the crib. We also love the feature that allows the screen to be off unless baby makes noise triggering it to come back on. Great monitor for the price!

This monitor is great for the price! The battery life is fantastic, and it’s got great features that are very useful. The monitor picture is small, but it’s good enough. One negative is that you can’t turn the beep off on the buttons-so hopefully you don’t need to change any settings in silence. Otherwise it’s a great option for going inexpensive

I love everything about this monitor! The only 2 things I will say are 1- I wish the camera could get a better lower angle. You have to angle the camera a certain way (I had to rig it to the wall with tape). I wish it would see lower so I could get a direct angle about my childs crib. 2- it takes a very long time to charge the parent unit. Once it is charged it’s great but it takes a while to get there. Besides these two things I love this camera!!

We bought this as a replacement after our 2nd motorola monitor crapped out on us. I decided to go with VTech because it was brand I recognized and felt confident in and we we’re sick of dealing with motorola. I chose this model because we’ve had 2 different Motorolas and have discovered the size of the screen and clarity is important as well as the pan tilt. Upon opening the box, the items looked great and sturdy. The mount is a bit ridiculous and we literally just used some 3M command Velcro on the bottom and mounted it to the wall right above our son’s bed. It works wonderfully! I noticed immediately there was no kick stand on the monitor to keep it propped upright, and the base wasn’t as sturdy as I would have liked. It tends to fall over and on softer surfaces, it won’t stand up at all. Once I turned on the screen I loved the size and clarity but my screen had a white line nearly in the center going across horizontally. While I was annoyed by it, it didn’t really obstruct the image, and I was desperate for a new monitor after 3 nights without one when our Motorola died unexpectedly, so I decided to just deal with it. Now, about 3 months later, the temperature indicator icon has suddenly disappeared. I messed with the menu to see if I could get it back on, but so far nothing has worked. *I unplugged the camera and turned the monitor on and off , then plugged the camera back in and now the temp is back on the monitor screen.* I’m now debating if I got a good product. I’ll be reaching out to the manufacturer if they don’t reach out to me first.
