I guess my expectations were skewed from various infomercials about steam cleaners, but when I purchased this unit, I was primed and ready to point this thing at everything, and everything twinkling in the sunlight. Or at the very least, getting clean. First off, it does do a great job with certain applications. My favorite thing to blast was corner and seam build up of mildew or that weird pinkish stuff that grows in wet bathroom and kitchen seams. This isnt so much a testament to the cleaning power of the steam, but rather the force in which it expels. Its able to blow away that stuff from their crevices and get it out. Take for instance, toilet seat hinges (EEEWWWWWWWW). Especially if you have a male in your house that doesnt aim well. This will get in there, and get everything out. So clean a drunk frat boy could eat off of it. It also does a good job on anything youd think hot water would work on. Kitchen grease for instance. The one thing that REALLY surprised me was grout. This thing does a great job getting grout clean, but it sure as hell doesnt blast it away. You have to scrub just as hard as you would any other stubborn stain, so dont expect miracles by pointing this thing at grout and laughing maniacally as dirt gets scared and runs away. What did it not work on so well? For starters, my grill. I really wanted my grills metal to shine through after I pointed the Wagner at it. No such luck. I should preface, its a new grill, only used it 4 times so far, so no considerable build up. So as far as what it will work well on, and what it wont, heres the jist. If the thing youre trying to clean would have required you to scrub if you just used a sponge and some cleaning solution, itll still need to be scrubbed with this. The steam merely acts as the cleaning agent, not as some miracle purifier of dirty and stained things. I also dont like the size, although I knew that going in. Size seems to matter when it comes to power steamers, but its just too much damn hassle to use regularly, which Id like to. All the tools and peripherals that dont have a home on the unit (they just sit around), the 15-20 minutes of heating time, the releasing of steam and water when youre done... its just too much to use often. I will say, once you get started, the steam lasts for a long time. Sometimes I just hold the damn hose in the air and play with the steam coming out. The downtime inbetween re-heats doesnt bother me too much. If something doesnt get clean in 1 minute of blasting, it likely will not get any cleaner with 10 minutes of straight blasting. A big... big.. BIG minus.. is the exclusion of some sort of water level indicator. Why the heck Wagner did not build one in is beyond me. You have absolutely no idea how much water youre putting in, or how much you have left when you use it. All in all, I bought it mainly because Ive always wanted a power steamer. Ive always had fantasies of pointing it at my non-existent outdoor brown wicker furniture to discover theyre actually pure white, or steaming the brake dust off my non-existent BMWs wheels (which still may work, havent tried). It does seem to do a great job of nooks and crannies, which that alone is worth it enough to me, but honestly, this thing is not going to replace a quick scrub down with some 409 and a paper towel. Cleaning solution + paper towel = 30 seconds and a clean surface. Wagner Power Steamer = 30 minutes for that exact same job. When you use it, you have to commit and just clean the whole damn house, and then your neighbors. Make it worthwhile.

Good for small spaces, definitely not your kitchen floor

Ok Wagner, I see you! Making my cleaning woes a thing of the past! But hey, quick bit of feedback, the ridges on that handle are awful on hands! Five minutes in and I had a blister on my palm. Definitely going to try a crafty solution for it though, because, well, look at that oven! That was 30 minutes of minimal effort! Almost worth the blister tbh. This lil helper is going to make our move out clean so much easier when we leave our rental next month.

We just received this today and I had to try it out. I bought this with the intention of wallpaper removal. Seriously why did I listen to all those people who told me the steam removal wasnt worth the time or money on the steamer? If you have wallpaper and want it gone- this will definitely help! Not only does it ease the removal process, it makes the clean-up 10x faster. Last weekend we finally decided to tackle the horrid wallpaper in our hallway. We scored all the walls, sprayed the fabric softener and went to it. To call it a mess is a tremendous understatement. Took a bit to get it loose and then we had to keep spraying the solution to loosen the paper and glue. Scrape and spray. Over and over and over. The portions we did looked like a war zone. We kept slipping on the glue / fabric softener mess. My husband and I spent about 5 hours and got a bit less than half the hallway done. An hour of that was clean up. This is what I was told was the easiest way. It most definitely was not. A co-worker mentioned using a steamer and how much easier and cleaner it was. Enter the Wagner 915 Steamer. This made a chore into a breeze. Well its still pealing wallpaper, but you get the idea. I read the manual, put the water in with the included funnel, turned it on and waited till the red light went off. Placed the wall plate against the wall and held it in place for 20 seconds. Moved it and started getting an edge up. Once I had the edge up it was steam and peal. Spent about an hour, till the Wagner 915 ran out of steam, and got a good sized bit done by myself. There was less destruction the the wall beneath, much less effort, and so much less mess. I added about 48 oz of water to the unit and waited 20 minutes to begin. The hose is long and easy to maneuver, the wheels make it easy to navigate the main unit. The power cord is short, maybe 3 feet long, so I used an extension cord. I do not have tons of upper body strength and had no issues with an extender holding the steam plate in place. Our home is small, the hallway is actually the shape of the letter F. The kids couldnt go to the bathroom without being carried by my husband last weekend, now with the baby its not a problem. I know that may not seem like it would be a big issue but alas it was. Ive included pictures, The first is at the beginning of the session. The next image is the corner where we stopped last weekend (look at all the spackle!) and the wall I did tonight. The final image is when I was done- all I had done was throw the paper into a trash bag, no mopping at that point. I am not covered in slime, my home doesnt reek of chemicals, and my family wasnt displaced by the project. Definitely worth the money. I have no used it for cleaning yet, but will update when I do.

After a decade of living with a big Lab and little children, my light colored sanded grout was awful. I have tried everything - commercial grout cleaning products, all the home recipes, brushes on my drill, you name it. Nothing cleaned it well. I’ve only done about 20 sf so far. It’s going to be a slow, tedious job but I will do it then seal it well. Local floor companies charge from $1/sf to “they-don’t-want-to-do-it” prices. Here are my takeaways: It runs about 30 minutes before needing to be refilled, and it takes about 10 minutes to reheat. It does require some manual pressure to clean very dirty grout so a little break is ok. If possible, have another person to wipe or wet vac the water as you go. There is considerable water from going back and forth on the grout lines so have a lot of old clean towels nearby. ⭐️Move from clean to dirty area so you’re pushing dirty water away from what you’ve cleaned⭐️ I put a towel under my shoes to keep it clean. Brass brush helps but it bends very quickly! The grout was too dirty for plastic bristles this time around. Finally here’s the trick: I pre-treated with Dawn Powerwash spray while the steamer was heating up. I sprayed an area as large as I could work in 30 minute. Look at that sparkling grout! Many reviewers commented on lack of storage for all the parts and the machine. I use the Ziploc Big Bags also sold on Amazon. All-in-all, a good little machine. I think I will be using it for other household jobs (bathtubs, spa tub jets, exterior windows) once I finish the big grout job.

AMAZING! We live in a SUPER old building in LA-one that was covered in LA grime when we got here and no cleaner or tool has been able to remove it…Until now! I should have taken more before and afters but you get the point. Few minor things that could improve this product. Maybe a slightly longer cord. A foot or two. A water level indicator. It’s a guessing game. And when turning it on, a decent amount of water pours out…I’ve made several messes on things I would have preferred not to. Have some towels handy, but once the steam gets going it’s magical. I have a few blisters from using it for a week straight several hours a day, so maybe a little padding on the handle would be nice. All in all, it’s magic.

I bought this to replace my McCullough steamer for my detailing business. I like the Wagner better than the McCullough but it had a weakness - the straight attachment tip keeps breaking when using the brush attachment. That being said their customer service is second to none. Every time Ive contacted them they promptly sent me a replacement. While it is frustrating that it keeps breaking they know about the problem and stand behind their product!

After reading the reviews I really thought that this thing would be a dud. Thank goodness they were wrong. This steam cleaner is absolutely awesome! I clean jets and needed something that would clean and disinfect well without using chemicals. I couldnt have made it better myself! To all of the idiots that were testing this steam cleaner with their FLIR, you must not know how to operate that either. My FLIR showed it over 212 degrees. To make sure I got out my thermometer and it showed over 212 degrees. This machine really surprised me, in a really good way! All of the stains on the plane that could not be removed with chemicals came out with this steam cleaner. After careful analysis here is my conclusion. If you are halfway adept and know how to follow instructions this thing will do exactly what it is supposed to. I took the cleaner home and used it in my bathroom and it does amazing on tile, grout, wood floors, toilets, windows, carpet, and everything I have thrown at it. I too have experience with steam cleaners that are over $4,000 and this thing does if not better, the same job. The bad reviews I have read on here really scared me before my purchase and testing of this steam cleaner. To the people that claim this thing does not get over 212 degrees: You must not know anything about science! Water turns to steam at 212 degrees, so if steam comes out of the machine how is it not 212 degrees? ......One thing I can say is be very careful not to put your hands ANYWHERE near the nozzle, you will boil yourself, and it will cause giant bubbles under your skin and it will be extremely painful. That goes for any good steam cleaner. Im very happy that I didnt go with the McCulloch. Wagner is known to be the best brand for paint spraying machines and this is right on par with those. Again.... I just dont understand where the bad reviews come from, obviously operator error because this thing is awesome. I bought this with my own money and nobody can buy my honesty, trust me, if you are on the fence and you have half of a brain buy it you wont regret it, you will thank me later.
