Greater than one weekI have used this steamer for everything. Originally purchased to battle a bedbug infestation, it literally destroys any and all bugs with super hot steam. I have used it to steam all of my carpets, mattresses, walls, bathrooms and even to clean my BBQ grill. Super long power cord and carrying handle make it easy to move around a room. Lots of accessories, each for a specific task. I absolutely love the floor steamer. The steam really brings carpet back to life. The only word of advice is to take care when filling with distilled water. DO NOT OVERFILL. As long as you dont over fill it, it doesnt spit water, it just dispenses steam. I highly recommend it!

> 3 dayWe use it for sanitizing around base boards. I am a mechanic and it takes grease off of doors and trim very well. Also works great in the vehicles

> 3 daySo, I bought one of these to see how well it works and I am fairly happy with my purchase so far. I will just attempt to list the pros and cons as briefly as I can: PROS: 1) Can clean virtually any surface (even wood if you are careful and dont let it saturate the wood to the point where it starts to peel or warp). 2) Easy to move around with the wheels. 3) The attachments are fairly straight forward and easy to use. 4) Holds a lot of water for nearly an hour of steaming before it needs to be refilled and reheated. 5) Easy to switch on the steam and automatically shuts off if you release the lever. 6) Powerful enough to blast nicotine and other stubborn stains off of the walls and ceilings of an old apartment that we are cleaning (so much so the ceiling tiles I have done so far look as though they were painted compared to the ones left untouched. 7) Takes dirt off of floors (albeit with some continued effort) that are nearly 50 years old. The tiles I have done thoroughly are revealing their true color which was a bright white at one time, while the rest around them are still yellowed that have yet to be steamed. 8) Doesnt take too long to heat (roughly 15 minutes -- time you can use to do other cleaning before you steam the floors or whatever. 9) long hose (about 6 feet or so) and two extending arms aid in cleaning ceilings and other higher up surfaces. 10) Not too heavy to carry from room to room or up and down staircases. CONS: 1) There is no visible reservoir to judge the water level. The solution I have found to solve the issue of potential overflowing is to wait until the steamer simply stops producing steam. This way you know its empty inside and then use a measuring cup to measure out 48 ounces of water (the maximum amount the reservoir can hold) and then when you add it you wont have to worry about overflow. 2) The hose, while it is long, easily twists up even after just uncoiling it. I would liken it to a phone cord in the way it twists up so easily. While it is a nuisance at times, it is not that big a deal. It does easily stretch back out and uncoil if you lift it up to do an area up high. 3) The only on-board storage is for the two tiny brush attachments that come with the machine to do cleaning of grills and grout and other surfaces that require a good stiff brush to clean. However, I just keep the other attachments on a shelf when not using them. 4) The machine only comes with one pad, which is essentially cheap terrycloth. While it is certainly machine washable or easily hand washed in the sink, it could become tiring having to do this all the time. A solution I have found that works well is to get a white towel and cut it into pieces using the pad that comes with it as a guide. These hand cut pieces works fairly well if properly clipped on and seem to even have more absorbency than the one that comes with the product. On a side note extra pads can be bought from the company for 11 dollars for three (fairly inexpensive compared to Shark steamers that charge 20 dollars for two pads). 5) When you first start to steam an initial blast of water typically comes out. Not too big of an issue either simply spray into the air or onto a towel or into a cup to get that initial water blast out of the way then you are good to go with a great supply of steam cleaning power. 6) The power cord is perhaps one of its greatest cons, as it is only about 2-3 feet long. Again, easily rectified by using an extension cord. You can use a 50 footer as I do so that you do not have to worry about unplugging it and plugging it back in multiple times. 7) The buttons you have to depress to remove attachments tend to be a bit sticky (even after only a few days of use) just be careful to depress them completely by pushing down right on the center of them before pulling off any attachments. 8) The red light will come on quite often (sometimes less than a minute after getting the green light that it is ready to go and at max temp. This does NOT mean you cannot still use it. It may be a faulty sensor or it could just be that it fell a few degrees below the max temp, nevertheless it still works great even when the red light comes on. Do not let it alarm you and make you think you have to stop repeatedly as one reviewer stated when cleaning his floors. Overall, I am rather impressed with what I have done with the steamer so far and look forward to continuing to use it to get this apartment in tiptop shape for renting. For the price of under 100 dollars it seems to be a great option to get the job done. Dont expect miracles, but do expect to be pleasantly surprised with what things you can clean. I have done floors, walls, ceilings, windows (which it does beautifully with the squeegie attachment, might I add) tiles, wood (even though the manual says it isnt recommended -- see my comment from above regarding using the product on wood), toilet, sink faucets, stove tops, and even metal doors with great success. It also can be used on furniture (again be careful not to overly saturate the upholstery so as to prevent molding), curtains, and even clothing (of course check your labels to make sure that steam wont damage a particular fabric). I say, so far at least, that the product is worth the money and will be beneficial to you to assist with cleaning. It makes cleaning much easier and with no need for chemicals it is a very ecological cleaning option. Remember everyone has different experiences. Give the product a try and I dont think you will be disappointed. Plus, if you should find you dont like it, Amazon has a great return policy! Happy Steaming! EDIT: 2/11/13 Used this guy on my aunts linoleum kitchen floor and it took white paint from when my grandfather painted her kitchen 8 years ago right off...every spot of paint is gone. She had been trying for years to get it off and this worked like a charm in a matter of minutes it was all gone as though it never had been there in the first place -- also it has cleaned tile floors that were 50 years old that always looked dingy and yellowed no matter what I did..now the tiles look bright white again...after these two experiences had to update this to 5 stars.

> 3 dayWeve used this to remove wallpaper. Its great. The Wallpaper tool is very good. Just a few comments: 1- It says 40 ounces of water. The tank will hold more than 40 ounces, but DONT fill the tank all the way because you will get a rush of hot water out the nozzle before the steam begins and trust me - that is not what you want. 2- the cap on the water chamber is unusual. They made it so that when it is hot, you can try to unscrew it but it will only turn and turn until the cap cools off. If youre in a hurry put the unit under a ceiling fan and give it a while to cool off. You dont want to add water to the unit until the unit has cooled off a little because it will cause the first little bit of water to boil and splash out of the opening. 3- when you first start to spray steam, there will be a spray of the condensed hot water coming out of the nozzle before the steam. So I point the nozzle in a direction that can stand the water (it only takes a second or two) then when the steam comes out, you point it at what needs the steam.

> 3 dayI was looking for something to detail the inside of a car I just bought. The seats are light, and came dirtier than Id expected. This little thing worked like a dream. I ended up cleaning out my entire car. The different attachments are very handy. Although, I ended up just using a couple. I will say I wish the brush attachments were a little more sturdy. After once use I could definitely use new ones. It does take some time for the water to heat up. I ended up using that time to vacuum out my car. By the time I was finished I was ready to use the steam cleaner. It took about 15 20 minutes to heat up. One full tank ALMOST did the job. I ended up having to refill the reservoir once to finish the front of my SUV. The water didnt take as long to heat up the second time around. If you have extra towels. Use them. I ended up buying a pack of 50 terrycloth towels. Id say I used 10 to clean the entire inside of my car. Including the upholstery. All in all Id say it was worth the money. I can see myself using this to do some deep cleaning inside the house, or detailing the other cars we have. Super handy, easy to use. Cord was more than gracious in length. Attachments were perfect. Especially for the tight nooks, and crannies. The unit itself is extremely light weight, easy to carry. I also love the little storage container on the front. I will most definitely be suggesting this to people looking for something easy to use to for steam cleaning.

Greater than one weekThis is a powerful, versatile, and use friendly steamer and Im a little upset because I may return it. Heres the problem, the tank capacity is great holding 40oz of water at a time but Im using this at my detail shop and we go through an average of 20 cars a day in the summer. Once your low on water the tank must be depressurized and then you can open the reservoir to fill water. Thereafter itll take 9 min before its ready to use again. Again if your using this for a retail home setting do not shy away from this machine, its a beast. Just wish there was another way to add water to this tank. Im going to stop give it 5 stars because it has everything you need for most use cases and it does it well

Greater than one weekThis is the best steamer Ive had so far. It is compact and can be kept in a cabinet, but holds 5 cups of water. I just clean all of my window blinds and am going to use it for baseboards tomorrow. It makes life so much easer!!!

> 3 dayThe Wagner 915 lifted the dirt off my linoleum floor. It whitened my brownish shower stall grout. Oven and BBQ grease melted away against 100 degree of steam. The bathroom sink and toilet did not have that strong chemical smell from cleaning products after a thorough steaming. With a bit of scrubbing effort plus vinegar, hard water deposits comes off tile and shower floor eventually. Glass and mirror cleaning is a breeze. More importantly, steam cleaning is now a fun chore that everyone in the family is lining up to do. Steam cleaning has its limits. My BBQ cooking grate has several layers of caked-on, baked-in char, short of chiseling, steaming failed miserably. It will work on week old grease but not years of major charring. Care must be taken when steaming next to labels of the BBQ controls. They peel right off after a good steaming. My wish list to Wagner is to have a trigger guard so you dont accidentally let out dangerous steam when putting the nozzle down or against something. Thats why guns have trigger guards as well as safety locks to prevent accidental firing. The brass brush should be stored brush side down to prevent from accidental finger poking. It starts to hurt after getting poked ones or twice trying to fill the tank with water. There should be a level fill mark to indicate how much water is there. This is important so you extend the life of your heating element and tank. The red and green indicator lights are hard to see when used under bright sunlight. Steam cleaning indoors can be quite loud so invest on ear plugs, ear phones or ear muffs. Otherwise, the Wagner is a good steam cleaning appliance. I like the long hose that holds up to stepping and crushing. The plastic material used for the attachments is reminiscent to the industrial grade Kirby vacuum cleaners. Everyone talks about how short the cords is but it really does not bother me. I just got myself a good extension cord. Use of distilled water might turn-off some potential buyers. I want this baby to last a long time so I will continue to use distilled water. I like the transparent rubber guard protecting the on/off toggle switch. Im quite sure thats there for our safety and protection. I didnt mind investing on cheaper small white towels specifically for wiping and/or floor cleaning. The floor scrubber has large enough clips to hold almost any towel material. As long as the width of the towel spans the scrubber, it should work. I find the Wagner 915 ECO Green, and a very good cleaning machine.
