I picked up this variety pack of 2/3/5 wire connectors. I had a chance to use some of the 5 connector versions in a somewhat crowded single-gang box. I fit everything into the box, but somehow in the process of cramming everything in, on two of the three connectors I used, one of the levers broke off. Had to pull it all out and replace them, then even more carefully fold and tuck it all back in. I also used some of the 2 & 3 connector versions in less crowded boxes which work great. I especially like the ability to use stranded wires, which the Ideal push connectors cant do (unless you wanted to bother tinning the lead). So thats definitely a great feature. I dont normally have stranded, non-tinned connectors in an outlet or switch box, but when it comes to hooking up light fixtures, its very common. Yeah, they come with wire nuts, but I just like the simplicity of push (and lever) connectors, and they make it so much easier to fit things into the box. In summary, the levers can break. I thought I was being careful but in the process of pushing into the box, they may flip up slightly and then snag and break. Might be better to wrap in electrical tape if thats a concern, so they dont inadvertently open. Requiring a bit more force to pop them open could be beneficial though.

I like the ability to use these in an install and have it be secure. Being a DIYer I’m not very confident in my ability to get a stranded wire around the solid core and secure it with a wire nut. These are easily secured and easy to check if they are secure also. The strip gauge on the side is a nice addition.

These are great items to have in your bag when working with electrical wires. It made assembly so much easier when I was putting up lights in my shed. I highly recommend.

I have installed a lot of smart switches and these connectors make my life easier. Sometimes, in an electrical box, there are already 5-6 wires connected together with a wire nut. Adding one or two more wires will be very difficult and it will be bulky and impossible to fit everything back in the box (because smart switches will be bigger than regular switches). These connectors will save space in the box and your time.

Very glad that I paid the extra money for the Wago brand name. I looked at some of the cheaper, knockoff connectors. In fact I had a set that was almost half the price of the Wago in my cart. Then I decided to do a little research before buying them. What I discovered was the ones I had weren’t UL approved and wouldn’t pass an electric inspection. I wasn’t so worried about that as I was the potential danger from using a substandard connector. There’s a lot of things to consider when buying these. For instance, how difficult is it to unclip the snap. If it’s too easy it can unclip when you push it back into the junction box. Also ,how much actual metal to wire contact is there? Not enough and it can heat up and melt the connector. Finally, how much metal is actually going from one wire to the other? Not enough and the metal can melt and act like a fuse causing problems. As far as I can tell these knockoffs aren’t tested, or worse tested and failed. I’m guessing that for most applications they would work fine. But for the price between genuine and imitation why take the chance? If you have even one issue with one connector you’d regret not spending the extra money. Of course, take anything I write with a grain of salt. I haven’t personally tested either the Wagos or the cheaper ones. I just watched some YouTube videos and justified spending the extra money based on what I saw.

I was wiring strand and solid outdoor lights - 20 in the air. Then it all had to be pushed up into the box. With these you know it is right and will not slip out. More than worth it. If you are a sometime DIYer? Then spend the extra. For the speed and especially surety. It is sort of expensive though. But I know the quality of this brand and recommend it. Wiring must be tight and correct.

These connectors are convenient, fit in small spaces, and work on wires 24-12 gauge.
