WAGO 221 Lever-Nuts 75pc Wire Connector Assortment Pack with Case

I ordered these Wago connectors after seeing a few youtube videos on them. For some reason, they popped in my feed. Im glad they did. I ordered this assortment pack and it came today just in time for me to put in a bathroom fixture. The connectors are so much better than wire nut connectors. I can never go back. Much easier to use and more secure. I like I can put them over the wires coming out of the wall once the old fixture was off to insulate them (even though power was off but I like doubling up safety). Unlike a wire nut that you have to take off, expose the wire and put the fixture wire together, and twist this one you just push the fixture wire through and close the clamp. Its just a better mousetrap. I watched videos of guys pumping through 4 to 10 times the rated amps on these things. They would have no problem on a full 30amp or even 60 amp push but in real-world applications these 221s would only be used for 30 amps or MUCH less. Im using it on an LED light today that pulls a whopping 25 watts. If you do electrical projects around the house these are great. Also in gang boxes that might have 3, 4 or 5 neutrals or grounds you dont have to wrestle them all in a wire nut. just pop each on in the 3 or 5 Wago and its clean and easy.

I first bought an off brand and compared it to my friend Wago’s and I immediately returned the off brand for these. I was trying to save a few bucks but learned this brand is the way to go. The closure on the lid snaps nice and tight without worry. You can see the wire through the plastic so you know it’s in place even though you should give a pull of the wire to make sure it’s in there solid. These are very well made.

One can find any number of videos on youtube related to the electrical trade talking about these things. One important takeaway: These are just as good as some claim, if not better. If youre a DIYer, you probably use wire nuts wrong, and its worth the price of these to ensure you dont inadvertently cause an electrical fire. If youre a pro, you know how long it takes to make a solid connection with a wire nut, and what each minute of your time is priced at, and switching to Wago lever nuts will save enough time to make it worth the added cost. Also, whoever has to go behind you and change something out in a remodel will thank their lucky stars you were so forward-thinking!

I love these things. I did some research on these before ordering them. They hold up under stress very well. These are the Cadilac of connectors (221 with the levers). They work with various different gauge wire (including 14 and 12). The levers may not stay down when sprung on the wire so as recommended by others, I wrapped the connectors with electrical tape. So easy to use and I believe they will hold up well.

These are great items to have in your bag when working with electrical wires. It made assembly so much easier when I was putting up lights in my shed. I highly recommend.

This product is fantastic and completely eliminates the need for wire nuts. These are more secure, easier to use, and provides a much cleaner install over tradtional wire nuts.

Haven’t got a chance to use these yet, but I’m satisfied with the size of the kit and looking forward to using them.

I’m not a professional electrician, but having done numerous home projects, I can safely say that these are just way more fun to work with than wire nuts. The push connectors aren’t bad by any stretch, but the Wago’s just seem to provide more peace of mind that the wires will stay put.
