I dont know if I would agree with some of the other reviews proclaiming a miraculous difference, but it is an improvement over dingy old plastic lens. That is until I drop it for the first time and it shatters to pieces, lol.

Read reviews that this replacement lens would not seal properly on Maglite with plastic lens, that was not the case with my 3 D Maglite. Lens came with a hard plastic case and a new rubber ring seal and fir perfectly.

Did not notice any yellowing or whatnot on the plastic OEM lens. Seemed just fine. Or not! The glass lens is clearly superior. Pun intended. It does not magnify or focus the beam, nor did it create a miniature Hubble. Makes a huge difference on effective light output. Get one.

Plastic lenses are for cheap flashlights, which a Mag-Lite is not. Definite difference in the lights focus, better detail and doesn’t transmit the scratches that come easily on the plastic OEM lens.

I cant say that the light is brighter than before but this replacement lens seems more solid and less scratch prone than the plastic lens that came with the MagLight. The included O-rings were a nice bonus. Happy with this purchase so far.

This lens replacement really is nice. Clear and feels like a quality lens. My old one got badly scratched sitting in my truck. I am very happy with this replacement. It was very well packaged. The really cool part is, it comes in a plastic container. The reason this is cool is because the lid on the plastic container fits perfectly on the Maglite as a lens protector. If you are on the fence, say buy it. You wont be disappointed.

Ive got a 5 D-cell Maglite thats easily 25 years old. The lens was pitted & scratched. This lens was a perfect fit, and it included the new o-ring as well. Great value for restoring this old flashlight.
