bought for my new 2 D cell LED flashlight only to find out the lens cap doesnt come off. its not one of the ML series listed for not fitting. just make sure your lens can be removed before purchasing. this is actually a very good high quality product. my only issue is with Maglite making their LED flashlights non-serviceable. it does fit other flashlights though, I ended up using it in my snap on 2 cell flashlight.

Perfect fit other than the fact that theyre much thicker. This doesnt allow the top bezel to be screwed down all the way. This will almost certainly compromise the water integrity or the light. Should be much more scratch resistant than the plastic OEM lens as theyre glass.

5 stars for nice clear and fit, bought several to fix up old maglites. Im afraid they will break really easy though, but I may get a couple of extra Just in case. If your upgrading to led this lens is the icing of the cake.

I did TWO flashlights around the same time. The first one was for my 6 cell Maglite. I bought an LED bulb for it, and while continuing to investigate flashlight upgrades, found out that my Maglite had a plastic lens, so I ordered the glass replacement. Oddly enough, I discovered that there is a difference in the quality of plastics used for lenses. Ill explain: The other flashlight I upgraded was a Snap-On 3 D cell. Upon researching; I found better deals when you bought the lens and LED bulb as a package deal. It just so happens that the Snap-On and the Maglite have the same size lenses, so I bought a kit containing the bulb and lens for the Snap-On. Now as to the plastics: I compared the plastic lens from the Maglite to the glass lens I got for it. I didnt notice much, if any clarity difference between the two, which speaks well for the quality of plastic Maglite uses. There was a HUGE difference in clarity between the two for the Snap-On. The Snap-Ons was a dirty yellow-brown. The LED bulb for both of these lights was a definite improvement. An excellent value. One reviewer mentioned that he noticed a problem with one of the lenses thickness being a problem for him. Im sorry I dont remember which brand he was having that problem with. As the bezel screws on to compress the O-rings between itself and the reflector housing, I dont see where a problem would arise. I didnt have any trouble with either of the two different light and lens combinations. In the reviews,

This greatly improved my Maglite for a reasonable cost.

Between this lens and the LED bulb I bought for my old Maglite, it gave it new life. Much brighter and clearer then the original bulb and lens...

It came in a nice container that would keep one safe if you bought 2 like I did just so I would have it. I was thinking about replacing the flashlight because of the brightness of some of the others on the market but like the durability of my maglight. Im really glad I found these and got them. My lenses wasnt that bad I thought, but made alot of difference having the new lenses.
