> 24 hourEl disco no funciona, al ponerlo no se detecta, esta dañado, no sirve, solo perdí mi dinero, recomiendo no compren aquí, es un fraude. Tengo varios años comprando en Amazon y es la primera vez que me sale algo defectuoso pero lo malo es que para las devoluciones no es fácil y me siento defraudado.

> 24 hourI recently purchased a WD Black and it arrived in a thick cardboard box with inner support foam pieces. Works like a charm. The second I laid eyes on this package, I knew it was game over. Like come on, a bubble wrap envelope? GG. Decided to throw it onto a dock and attempt a format. Just hangs and makes the click of death. Buyer beware. Poorly packaged hard drive inevitably breaks during shipping. Such a waste.

> 24 hourAlmost a year ago, I built a dedicated desktop computer using an Intel i5 CPU, 32 GB of memory, a NVIDIA graphics card and an upgraded power supply, to use exclusively for my 4 HD WiFi PTZ Surveillance Security Camera system. Its a Windows 11 Pro based computer, running Blue Iris 5 software 24/7. The main Hard Drive is a Western Digital SSD Blue 1 TB, but I was running a competitors hard drive as a secondary drive for storing captured videos and photos from the cameras. Performance was so so. When I went to pull up one of the individual folders for one of the cameras to view photos and or videos, it took a while to load , especially when I wanted to scroll down or up. I could also hear that secondary drive running. It wasnt super loud, but still annoying. I installed the new Western Digital Purple Surveillance Hard Drive, 4 TB, 256 MB cache, and let me tell you, the difference between that hard drive and the one it replaced is like night and day. The WD Purple Hard Drive is FAST and its QUIET. There is no lag time when opening a folder for anyone of the cameras to view photos or videos. Setup was a snap using Windows 11 Disk Management. I already had WDs Dashboard software installed, and it recognized the new hard drive right away. Formatting was quick and easy, and so was creating and naming the new folders that I needed for Blue Iris 5. Make no mistake, the WD Purple Surveillance Drive is a mechanical and NOT an SSD drive, but you would never know it because of how well it performs. According to WD Dashboard, it is NOT running hot. The hard drive is rated to handle up to 64 cameras at one time. Im running high quality Amcrest cameras, and this new WD Purple hard drive was a good match for my system. I would have to say that the WD Purple Surveillance Drive exceeded my expectations. It was money well spent and the price was good too! I highly recommend this Hard Drive for anyone using a computer for their surveillance cameras, or even for using it in a DVR in place of a computer. Thats exactly what it was designed for.
