Western Digital 4TB WD Purple Surveillance Internal Hard Drive HDD - SATA 6 Gb/s, 256 MB Cache, 3.5 - WD42PURZ

I was able to replace my failed HD in my UDM Pro with this 6TB WD Purple hard drive. I did not have to do anything special, just install it. I still retrieve my videos as quickly as before.

The drives a piece of junk. DOA. The motor doesnt even seem to spin. It was purchased supposedly new from HardDriveGeeks through Amazon.

Drive has been doing its job inside my surveillance system for six months now. I never have to think about it. It just keeps working, thats all.

Unfortunately this drive failed after 18 months of being used in a security camera recorder. It was still under warranty and WD sent in a replacement. I applaud WD for their customer service.

I install home camera systems. Most home recorders come with 1tb drives. With 4 cameras running 24/7 that is only a few days of recording time. I installed this in a 6 camera system and it extended the time to 25 days.

Received 4tb HD earlier than expected from seller. Plastic wrapped HD shipped in unmarked sturdy corrugated cardboard box which was in a bubble-wrap sleeve. HD itself was suspended within the box by hard plastic inserts. WD HD was marked with a manufactured date of April 2022. Item is being used in a surveillance DVR. No issues, very quiet, showed just 3.6tb available during initiation but believe that being due to proprietary formatting by DVR. Very pleased thus far with product and seller.

Ordered hundreds of HDDs, never got one just thrown in a box like this before. A few weeks of use and the drive is failing. Just going to RMA it with Western Digital, at least they ship drives properly.

El disco no funciona, al ponerlo no se detecta, esta dañado, no sirve, solo perdí mi dinero, recomiendo no compren aquí, es un fraude. Tengo varios años comprando en Amazon y es la primera vez que me sale algo defectuoso pero lo malo es que para las devoluciones no es fácil y me siento defraudado.
