> 24 hourThis was my first experience in dealing with with a crashed hard drive. I had a 3 year old Dell Inspiron 5570 laptop in which the hard drive was constantly running at 100% because of bloatware I couldnt turn off or remove. The drive finally refused to boot up, and I needed a quick fix. My son suggested I go for a SSD rather than a mechanical drive, so I opted for this one. Several discussion boards said my motherboard was limited to 512K, otherwise I would have bought the 1TB version of this. The SSD arrived on time, and 5 minutes later, I had it in my laptop (previously opened to remove the existing HD). I had made a USB boot thumb drive, and windows was quickly installed and it works great! No real setup required other than the usual windows step-by-step stuff. I made no BIOS changes at this point. Everything runds much faster than before, as I had hoped and expected.

> 24 hourI always have so many different applications open and my personal computer started running really slow. My work computer is badly upgraded though but I never got around upgrading my personal computer. Things are running much faster with this WD Blue SN550 500GB NVMe Internal SSD! I don’t have to reboot anymore and worry about closing my applications. Everything I touch loads instantly and there is no more spinning circle loading forever. Very happy with this internal SSD!

> 24 hourThis NVMe is perfect. Gets the job done for a great price, is extremely reliable, and has no issues. Its a 1 TB NVMe device for around $100. Thats about as cheap as it gets for something like this. I bought this one in particular because Western Digital is a brand name, known for their electronic components so I decided to go with theirs. No problem so far. 10/10 would recommend.

> 24 hourI would advise everyone to steer clear of this product. Up to is just a legal loophole wording that means they can get away with lower. Think of it this way, 1 kilobyte per second is up to 2400 MB/s and fits the description legally. Western Digital has swapped parts on their drive for lower performing (and not just a tiny performance decrease either, but a large decrease) drive while having the audacity to charge you the same price. At the time of this writing it is on sale, but even at this price youre getting a dud.

> 24 hourI got this to move my Windows Store/Steam/Blizzard/Epic/Origin games onto one fast drive just for gaming. 1TB isnt going to cut it, but moving a 60 gig game is limited only by the spinny-disk drive Im pulling from. Old HDs dont even touch a drop of this things throughput. And it reads 3x faster than any SSD can perform, due to SATA speed limits. Im NVMe from here on out.

> 24 hourThe WD Blue SN550 NVMe is very easy to install. Just make sure that it is compatible with your mother board and has the same key . This Model has an M.2 2280 interface. Also make sure the motherboard has the little screw needed to hold the SSD it in place on the opossite side of the connector. Slide the SN550 it in in a little slanted position in the motherboards M.2 Socket 3 until it clicks in palce; thne hold it down while you screw gently in place in the opposite side. I used it to install Windows 10 on it (latest version of windows have the device driver for use during installation, or you can download the latest version of Intel Rapid Storage drivers and have it on a thum drive so you can use it during the Windows installation process (when it presents you with the available recognized drives in your PC). You need to download the WD SSD DAshboard Software after you finish installing windows and make sure all your drivers (Device Administration) are up to date. Youl need it to monitor the disk health, performance and tweakings like Trim, as well as to get notifications of the SN550 firmware. Ill recommend this product for home use and video editing, which is mostly what I do. I dont use my PC for gaming so I wouldnt know if it fits that need. P.S. I needed to ask WD a couple of questions and did it via chat. Great response time and they helped me with a couple of issued regarding the drivers during windows installation.
