> 24 hourI have an older water filtration system, and have been unable to find genuine replacement filter cartridges. The Whirlpool filter fits fine, but it leaves a bit of an unpleasant taste in the water for several months. This has happened to me twice with these filters so I am pretty sure its not just something gone south in the city water. The unfortunate taste goes away eventually, and then the water is fine again. For those who may wonder such things, I flushed the fresh cartridge out as they instructed before first use. Maybe next time Ill run twice as much water through and see if that makes a difference.
