This trowel is the best I have ever owned. I use it for metal detecting and dig in some rather diverse areas. It cuts through roots with no problem. Does not hurt my hand on long days. I have dug from dense clay to sand with it. Used at the beach and still no rust. It is slightly more expensive than other diggers but you will never have to purchase another one. It has a lifetime guarantee but I probably wont ever have to utilize it. The tool also has inches marked out on the blade portion for estimation in depth. The handle is kind of like a bicycle grip with contoured finger grips. Real simple design, just some real dense stainless metal folded over.

My wife can destroy a cheap garden trowel in less than half a day. She will typically go through 3 to 4 a summer gardening in the South....UNTIL I found this one. This thing is like the Yeti. Nothing has hurt it yet. I challenged my wife to try and damage it. She has yet to answer the challenge. One summer down and many to go. The only thing I am afraid of is losing it. It has been left in the rain, in the mud, then weeks in the scorching sun. I got it from the garden, washed it off, and the thing looks brand new. I have used it for a cement job, and also to mix tile grout and it still has a nice shine. Quite obviously made of good stainless, it shows still no rust and no pitting. Honestly, they need to make shovels and rakes like this. Of all the things I have ever bought, I truly expect this one to outlast me. Amazon needs to add a sixth star for products like this.

These Wilcox tools are by far the best garden trowels available anywhere. Even if you are young they will outlast you.

So far this garden shovel has proved sturdy and strong. Iv used it to smash gravel and clay out of a hole and hasn’t gotten a chip or nothing on the blade. For the price you cannot beat it. It’s held up nicely and does exactly what you need it to do.

I bought this to take with me backpacking. I know the Duece is much lighter, but I’m not into ultralight backpacking just yet. I wanted something sturdier with a better handle for harder packed dirt that I could also use to help dig spots for tent stakes. This worked well for that. It is a bit narrow and won’t be as good at scooping dirt out of the hole as a wider trowel. But it worked fine. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase

I purchased both a 10 & this 14 Wilcox trowel. this one is great for planting although its big and for some may be a bit cumbersome. My partner has said she likes the smaller 10 better due only to the size of her hands and how she goes about her gardening work. It is a very well made trowel. I love it.

Best trowel I have ever had. Used it all day to dig and plant in some rocky, desert soil. Solid. I cant see me bending this thing like I have with just about every other trowel Ive used.

This 10 pointed trowel is hands down my favorite garden tool. I do a lot of gardening so it gets heavy use each gardening season. We have heavy clay soil and it cuts right through the soil. I first purchased this one and a 14 trowel about 7 or 8 years ago. I purchased a new 10 through Amazon because I have almost misplaced my tool so many times and it would slow me down to garden without it. Now I have a backup. In the picture you can see the new one on the left; old tools on the right. The sharp edges of the tool have dulled some with the heavy use, but I hadnt noticed until I compared to the new tool. Im sure I could get the old ones sharpened if I want. You should keep this tool out of reach of children as they are sharp enough to pierce skin...but thats what makes it a workhorse. Simply indestructible. Ive used many trowels, and this one is in a class of its own. Highly recommend.

This is the trowel we reach for when we plant 1 gallons or dig out irrigation leaks. Strong. So strong! And made in the State I was raised! We are professional landscapers- And this trowel does a professional job.
