> 24 hourThe casters and wheels seem fine, the exterior seems fairly tough though given to scratches, the telescoping hanle could use a bit more reinforcement, I think. The zippers move smoothly. The lining left no places exposed. My main reservation is the fragility of the plastic hooks and clasps; I do not feel confident they can withstand shifting weight, and you better believe I pack tight.

> 24 hourThe zipper on my old 28 soft side was so much thicker and stronger. I also have a very similar 22 carry-on which is just as light but feels tougher and has a stronger zipper. I am afraid the zipper on this new Samsonite is going to break soon.

> 24 hourIm really disappointed at the term, hardside in advertising when it comes to suitcases. I havent traveled by plane in years, and decided to go with what I thought was a reputable company, with something more rigid than I received. The polycarbonate shell was disappointingly alike the shells of other suitcases I saw in person at local big box stores, but the Samsonite cost twice as much, if not more - than most. While the compartment size was very generous, the shell seemed very flimsy. In using it for the first time, trying to use the suitcase at an angle on two wheels, was a failure. The wheels ground into whatever medium it touched, and the only way you could have a smooth ride was by keeping the case entirely upright wherever its wheeled to.. While the rise was smooth upright, it was difficult to manuever. Whats the purpose of having the extension handle then? The lock was nice, and slightly cumbersome to get the zipper ends to lock into place. What was a pain was trying to read the numbers on the lock. Its almost as if you need a magnifying glass to see them to set/use the proper combination. The case went through one layover to Texas to Ohio, and back. When getting home, I noticed along the factory molding of the hardside, a nice large crack that seemed to me from an engineering standpoint - a design flaw.

> 24 hourThis is a great value for a carry on. However I find the handle to be flimsy when you are rolling it on a flat surface. Especially hard on carpeted airport terminals. The handle and extensions flex and twist. Id happily pay a few more dollars for a quality extension handle..

> 24 hourMy suitcase is still very new so its difficult for me to know how strong the outer shell is until such time as I do a number of international flights

> 24 hourGot this for my son for a week beach vacation. Was able to fit everything he needed for a 6 day vacation (with smart packing of course). The dividers help with organizing clothes, etc. Very well made, very sturdy, nothing feels cheaply made. Samsonite name is a plus, you know youre buying quality. Everything works as expected. Its taken a beating in the one month weve owned it, and still looks and operates like new. Very satisfied with the purchase. Would buy it again if needed. Would recommend to family or friends.
