My son bought this for his Nintendo Switch Breathe of the Wild. Works great!!! He says it does everything its supposed to do. Linked immediately to. This Japanese version works exactly the same as the US one, only difference is, the US ones run about 2× more.

The painting and the sculpting on the amiibo is well worth the price. The functionality between Zelda games honestly the bonus to this nice shelf piece

New condition, but the packaging was heavily bent and the edges were coming apart. I would have lowered the star rating, but I did get a good deal on it. Just took the chance for the quality. Buy at your own risk, or if you dont care about beat up boxes.

I have zero experience with collectible figures, but considering the fact that I was expecting this to be cheap factory-painted plastic, expectations were certainly exceeded. Its sturdy enough for little kids to play with (collective gasp of horror around the room, but honestly), pretty enough to look at for adults to collect, and useful enough in-game to make it a completely worthwhile buy. This amiibo is supposed to work with a handful of games, though Im assuming most players who buy it are mostly in it for Breath of the Wild as I was. In BotW this does give you Wolf Link, the doggo companion who fights, hunts, and searches for shrines by your side. However, Wolf Link will only ever have three hearts unless you also have the Wii U game Twilight Princess HD, where youll need to go through the Cave of Shadows if you want to get your furry friend up to a lovely twenty hearts. (While Ive heard you can automatically get Wolf Link up to twenty hearts just by connecting it to the Twilight Princess game, Im not sure if that was a single-instance glitch, since I havent heard it often enough for it to seem like the norm.) Even with only three hearts, having Wolf Link in-game is pretty dope and useful. I was worried he would die instantly with how little health he had, but he does a good job of dodging hits (though warning: he does get hit by friendly fire, so watch out for underfoot wolf). You can also feed him to restore his health. If you ever lose him in the vast expanses of the map, you can scan your amiibo again to have him come back to you -- but once hes dead, youve got to wait until the next day to bring him back. Hes also not so great to have around when youre wanting to take pictures with animals (he likes to hunt, apparently) or sneak up on anything (the chain around his paw makes a good bit of noise). Overall, this is a great investment for all your traipsing across the kingdom of Hyrule -- it is, after all, dangerous to go alone.
