> 3 dayArrived and set up only to find the remote control felt like it was melting in my hand and it wouldn’t respond. I heard a horrible ratting inside. After scratching up the plastic while attempting to pop it open, I found the only IC for controlling the remote was never even soldered to the board and was rattling around loose. Would try to return it, but my experience with Amazon says they would make me disassemble everything, return the whole system, and wait four weeks instead of just sending me a damn remote. Additionally, Xiaoya provides no directions to set up their unit with any other remote. Would be nice to just turn it on and off with my FireTV remote, but they don’t tell you any compatible maker to pick from the FireTV list or to use when finding a universal remote. Would be nice if Xiaoya responds to this. I’m sure I am not the only one who wishes it could be controlled by something other than their garbage remote. Picture quality is nice but the keystone correction makes thing exceptionally blurry. I guess I will live with a slight trapezoid shape rather than make my screen unreadable.

Greater than one weekThe quality of the product is great, however, the product itself did not come with instructions for connectivity or pairing information.

> 3 dayTo be honest, I didn’t expect much from this due to the price. However, reading the reviews and looking at the pictures and videos of other people convinced me. This… blew… my mind!!!!! It makes me wonder why buy a TV if this is out there. The clarity it’s wonderful, size… all! The firestick 4k and lite (we have both, and tested it) work great on it. We even connected our nintendo switch. I was also surprised that it still looks good when there is some light around. It’s a really good size too! it’s not big and bulky. We have it sitting on a shelve above our bed, and it projects to the opposite wall as if it’s a 80+ inch TV. Btw… our room it’s pretty small, and it projects to the opposite wall entirely. I highly recommend.

Greater than one weekVery satisfied with this purchase. I tested this against another projector I purchased at a significantly higher price point, with more features (with native 1080p), and decided to keep this one as I didnt see much difference in image quality, and this one had the basic features I needed. Add to that, THIS projector actually has color/brightness/contrast adjustment features that the other (much higher priced) projector did not. The image is resolute, and although I noticed soft focusing near the edges, I didnt find that to interfere with the movie watching experience at all. Sure, its relatively spartan in terms of features when compared to more expensive projectors (e.g. 4D keystone adjustment, wifi, bluetooth), but I wasnt much concerned with any of that as this one works just fine with the Apple TV plugged in via HDMI. You will definitely need blackout curtains (or a very darkened setting) if you want to use this during the daytime, but at night , its perfectly suitable as a crowd-pleaser--as its received praise for its image quality and playback performance, both outdoors and indoors (used with a 100 screen). I used a desktop speaker system(with subwoofer) via the 3.5mm jack (and a 15-foot 3.5mm audio cable purchased on Amazon) and the sound quality was great. I did use this with an iPhone 11 (with the Lightning to Digital AV Adapter, sold on Amazon) and although it worked relatively fine, I did notice some glitchy playback using the Amazon Prime Video App-- i attributed the glitchiness to the movie buffering, because the issue became less noticeable as the 90-minute movie reached about the halfway point. I have not tried the iPhone with any other video playback app or saved movies,, but I imagine it wouldnt be as glitchy if it were playing movie content directly stored on the iPhone device. Ive used the iPhone for photos and personal video playback and playback was smooth and resolute. AUDIO TIP FOR APPLE T.V USE.: when first playing from the Apple TV, there was no sound emitted on playback, and after researching the issue, had determined that the sound is resolved by changing the audio settings on the Apple TV device from Dolby Surround to > Stereo as this projector does not support Dolby Surround. (Apple TV Settings > Audio & Video > Dolby Digital (set to OFF) ) As a household, weve enjoyed several movie-watching experiences on this XIAOYA projector so far, and look forward to enjoying many more. For an entry-level projector with basic features, this ones a sure contender.

> 3 dayFor the price this projector far exceeded my expectations. I wasnt expecting much but its perfect for use in a dark room to watch movies though it is not bright enough for a room with ambient light/will not work well during the day. Has been compatible with anything Ive plugged into it. If it connects via HDMI so far everything has just worked. Easy.

Greater than one weekThe picture and sound quality are great! BUT there are some dead pixels that we are unsure of how to fix and are quite distracting.

Just trying to help.
> 3 dayFirst. The good news. It works really well and when it works, its very easy to set up. Depending on if I can work around a few issues, Im going to try and set up a big. Movie night eventually. The first star is just its incompatibility with my computer. I have tried two versions of these projectors, the first I sent back because it didnt seem to want to recognize my computer (MSI leopard running up to date Windows). The second, still didnt recognize my computer, but would recognize my old ps4, which is fine for now. My suspicion is that its a driver problem. The second star is lost from its general brokenness. Neither remote worked with their projectors. Fortunately this version has controls on the top. Ive also had problems navigatng to the USB option on the menu, which seems to be a UX issue. Maybe if my remote worked it would be easier, but Im not convinced. The picture is pretty good. Im watching, on my wall with the projector set maybe 10 back and theres zero distortion and its a crisp image. You loose a little information in the blacks, but I havent had a chance to really crack open the image settings yet and I expect thats an easy fix. Also, hook up external sound (but this is obvious). The brightness is. I mean its a projector under $500. As soon as the sun is down, its fantastic, but its not what you want for game day or marathon ing Lost when you have the flu. Tldr: its cheap. Youre not going to get $1000 quality from it, but if you need something inexpensive for night viewing. It works fine. May not work with your laptop.

> 3 dayThis projector is a marvel for the money. It was not only easy to set up, but the quality and fit/finish is very good. I was amazed at how bright the projected image was even in brighter surroundings. The picture was very sharp compared to projectors I have used in the past. The foot-print is not bad and it is very portable. I think the sound quality was very good compared to other units but if you add a sound bar you have a tremendous little theatre system. Looking forward to projecting outdoor movies when the weather is warm again. For the money, you cannot do better. If the longevity of this projector is as good as everything else about it, it is fabulous.

> 3 dayClearly at this price-range you are not going to get the best protector ever. I was expecting a perfectly adequate mid-range projector; and honestly my expectations were exceeded. The picture is clear and bright in proper conditions, and the set up is incredibly easy. My only complaint is I wish there were more settings, such as digital keystone (the physical keystone is not quite enough for me); but besides that, I am very happy with my purchase. Its no replacement for your standard TV, but if you know what this kind of product is meant for, you will not be disappointed..
