Quite honestly, I was hoping for more...This projector requires almost complete darkness. The brightness level I was led to believe I was getting is laughable. Lesson learned, I suppose.

Update: Seller has offered to resolve the issue. It worked well for a while, then a black spot showed up on the screen. It was not on the screen or lens. I contacted amazon and they told me to contact the seller. I contacted the seller and they told me to contact amazon, without offering an ounce of helpful info about what may be causing the problem or if it was in fact a defect. Things started off great but went downhill.

Very satisfied with this purchase. I tested this against another projector I purchased at a significantly higher price point, with more features (with native 1080p), and decided to keep this one as I didnt see much difference in image quality, and this one had the basic features I needed. Add to that, THIS projector actually has color/brightness/contrast adjustment features that the other (much higher priced) projector did not. The image is resolute, and although I noticed soft focusing near the edges, I didnt find that to interfere with the movie watching experience at all. Sure, its relatively spartan in terms of features when compared to more expensive projectors (e.g. 4D keystone adjustment, wifi, bluetooth), but I wasnt much concerned with any of that as this one works just fine with the Apple TV plugged in via HDMI. You will definitely need blackout curtains (or a very darkened setting) if you want to use this during the daytime, but at night , its perfectly suitable as a crowd-pleaser--as its received praise for its image quality and playback performance, both outdoors and indoors (used with a 100 screen). I used a desktop speaker system(with subwoofer) via the 3.5mm jack (and a 15-foot 3.5mm audio cable purchased on Amazon) and the sound quality was great. I did use this with an iPhone 11 (with the Lightning to Digital AV Adapter, sold on Amazon) and although it worked relatively fine, I did notice some glitchy playback using the Amazon Prime Video App-- i attributed the glitchiness to the movie buffering, because the issue became less noticeable as the 90-minute movie reached about the halfway point. I have not tried the iPhone with any other video playback app or saved movies,, but I imagine it wouldnt be as glitchy if it were playing movie content directly stored on the iPhone device. Ive used the iPhone for photos and personal video playback and playback was smooth and resolute. AUDIO TIP FOR APPLE T.V USE.: when first playing from the Apple TV, there was no sound emitted on playback, and after researching the issue, had determined that the sound is resolved by changing the audio settings on the Apple TV device from Dolby Surround to > Stereo as this projector does not support Dolby Surround. (Apple TV Settings > Audio & Video > Dolby Digital (set to OFF) ) As a household, weve enjoyed several movie-watching experiences on this XIAOYA projector so far, and look forward to enjoying many more. For an entry-level projector with basic features, this ones a sure contender.

I got this projector for my bedroom, and Ive been quite impressed by the picture quality (native 720p) and brightness for the money. With a coupon, I spent about $80 for this projector, and it seems like about as good of a value as one can find in that price range. As to be expected with a projector, the fan always runs while its on. However, its not oppressively loud, and its a consistent white noise that you quickly adjust to. I connected a Chromecast and my Nintendo Switch, and I could not be happier with the purchase. YouTubeTV looks great, and there is no lag time or any noticeable issue with gaming through the projector.

Will never buy another big TV... Bought this to replace 70 Visio that died only after a year . Was pleasantly surprised with pic. Quality,size.. it is a little hard to see dark scenes in the daytime with curtains open ,but I can live with it .at 9feet away it shoots a clear pic. Of about 120 inches ,and because the picture is not beaming at its much easier on the eyes ... Great buy

This is absolutely the best value projector that I have tested out of 4 and it beats ALL others in the most important areas including 3800 Lumens, 3000:1 contrast ratio, Native 720p and cost of under $100. No other projector meets all these factors across the board! I highly recommend this projector. It is also the clearest picture even suitable for presentations. I hooked it up to my laptop and can read all charecters very clearly. That is due to the 3000:1 contrast ratio and 720p NATIVE video resolution. Thank you XIAOYA for making such a great projector at n affordable price!

Havent played with this yet much did some light testing and i have to say its great the only dissapointment i have is that it said outdoor and the power cable is short enough thats pretty blatantly untrue without buying extension cords or some kind of powerful portable battery. Powercord isnt even quite the size of my armspan. That said it still gets 4 stars because if my biggest problem with a 100 dollar projector (lightning deal) is that i need to buy extension cords to project onto the side of my house or garage door then im happy

I got this for a gift for my husband, however he placed in our bedroom to give me a theater wall!!! And it have great picture quality. The only issue I have and I dont think its the projector itself, but watching certain shows you have to always change the audio settings... Overall 5 stars *****

To be honest, I didn’t expect much from this due to the price. However, reading the reviews and looking at the pictures and videos of other people convinced me. This… blew… my mind!!!!! It makes me wonder why buy a TV if this is out there. The clarity it’s wonderful, size… all! The firestick 4k and lite (we have both, and tested it) work great on it. We even connected our nintendo switch. I was also surprised that it still looks good when there is some light around. It’s a really good size too! it’s not big and bulky. We have it sitting on a shelve above our bed, and it projects to the opposite wall as if it’s a 80+ inch TV. Btw… our room it’s pretty small, and it projects to the opposite wall entirely. I highly recommend.

Disappointed - The product didn’t work. The look & feel was great. Returned.
