> 3 dayThis Projector is great, I highly recommend it for anyone doing a home theatre on a budget. However, I had some bad luck and my remote has been damaged. I contacted Xiaoya and the told me I couldnt buy a remote from them but had to get a universal remote. I then asked if they had suggestions to ones that worked or if I could get a 4 digit remote code that would allow me to pair. I have yet to get a response. Sucks that they have a good product and cant back it up by helping their paying customers better.

> 3 dayIve had mine for about 4 months now. It shut itself off one day and wouldnt turn back on. I waited until the next day and tried it. The projector came on like it should. I havent had a problem with since then. Its now been 10 months since purchase. Ive developed a dark spot in the screen and the cooling fan sometimes makes a weird noise. Turn it off and back on usually gets the fan to act right but the dark spot wont go away. I still like it but Ill probably look at other brands when i buy another projector.

> 3 dayBought 2, one for me one for my brother. Smaller words can be a little pixelated but everything else is pretty crisp. I use a 100 screen, you probably dont want to go over 120-ish to maintain picture quality. The speaker doesnt have much bass but itll get very loud without distortion. The fans really quiet and easy to navigate the menus. My brother already mounted his on the ceiling with a universal mount. And its the best looking projector with the gold trim.

> 3 dayThe picture looks great as long as you have the room. There is no zoom so it has to be at the correct distance. Also your devices have to be powered so you cant use your phone. The only way my fire stick would work was if it was plugged into an outlet. Its kind of a pain in the ass to get it centered. And this picture was just us trying it out, not the permanent location. But once everything was in place in my basement it looks and works great.

> 3 dayI’ve upgraded my entire family to the projector lifestyle, and couldn’t be happier. I bought this as a budget unit for my daughter’s bedroom, and was earnestly impressed, ESPECIALLY with the price. Subtracted one star literally just to get this review more read/believed, as 3-4 Star reviews are deemed more real.

> 3 dayVery satisfied with this purchase. I tested this against another projector I purchased at a significantly higher price point, with more features (with native 1080p), and decided to keep this one as I didnt see much difference in image quality, and this one had the basic features I needed. Add to that, THIS projector actually has color/brightness/contrast adjustment features that the other (much higher priced) projector did not. The image is resolute, and although I noticed soft focusing near the edges, I didnt find that to interfere with the movie watching experience at all. Sure, its relatively spartan in terms of features when compared to more expensive projectors (e.g. 4D keystone adjustment, wifi, bluetooth), but I wasnt much concerned with any of that as this one works just fine with the Apple TV plugged in via HDMI. You will definitely need blackout curtains (or a very darkened setting) if you want to use this during the daytime, but at night , its perfectly suitable as a crowd-pleaser--as its received praise for its image quality and playback performance, both outdoors and indoors (used with a 100 screen). I used a desktop speaker system(with subwoofer) via the 3.5mm jack (and a 15-foot 3.5mm audio cable purchased on Amazon) and the sound quality was great. I did use this with an iPhone 11 (with the Lightning to Digital AV Adapter, sold on Amazon) and although it worked relatively fine, I did notice some glitchy playback using the Amazon Prime Video App-- i attributed the glitchiness to the movie buffering, because the issue became less noticeable as the 90-minute movie reached about the halfway point. I have not tried the iPhone with any other video playback app or saved movies,, but I imagine it wouldnt be as glitchy if it were playing movie content directly stored on the iPhone device. Ive used the iPhone for photos and personal video playback and playback was smooth and resolute. AUDIO TIP FOR APPLE T.V USE.: when first playing from the Apple TV, there was no sound emitted on playback, and after researching the issue, had determined that the sound is resolved by changing the audio settings on the Apple TV device from Dolby Surround to > Stereo as this projector does not support Dolby Surround. (Apple TV Settings > Audio & Video > Dolby Digital (set to OFF) ) As a household, weve enjoyed several movie-watching experiences on this XIAOYA projector so far, and look forward to enjoying many more. For an entry-level projector with basic features, this ones a sure contender.

> 3 dayWith indoor activities with others limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this product has come in handy for enabling outdoor movie viewing with others from a safe distance. Picture quality is pretty decent for what you might expect when watching outdoors, but not sure how it might stack up against other indoor projector solutions. I think the black/gold look of it is relatively slick, though it may be a little gaudy for others that my prefer a more traditional device with a solid white/dark color. Got it on sale for <$100 so seemed like a good deal, but if more expensive than that there may be other competitors worth considering as well.

> 3 dayUI is slow and buggy. iOS connectivity drops in and out, video playback speeds and slows along with audio not synced correctly. Worst part is while adjusting zoom, keystone, etc to get the picture right, it will randomly revert to the default setting. Have not found a way to make image settings stick for more than a few seconds. Frustrated. Returning and looking for a better option. My advice is to avoid this product.
