Works exactly as described. I purchased about 3 weeks ago for my baby red eared slider. He loves it and so do I. I set it on top of his 5.5 gallon tank and he loves it for basking. We just had 90 degree weather and my AC went out so I was able to keep the heat lamp off and he was still able to hang out in his light. I dont use a timer because Im home a lot and I check on him often. This will still work great when I move him to a bigger tank.i just set it on top of his screen. A stand would be helpful sometime in the future so I dont have to move it every time for feeding.

Works great. One bulb is slightly too large though so you cant just set this on the screened top.

I bought the lamp on July 16th, a little over a month ago and its already shorting out. One side of the lamp isnt working properly. Do not buy from them. It is junk. Unfortunately, its past the 30 days and I cant return it. I should have bought it at Petsmart because at least they would replace it.

I like this lamp combo. Just be sure that you get it placed the right distance from your pet. Too close, you could scorch them, too far, they dont get the right amount of heat or UVB.
