The strips are of excellent quality for making things on a laser cutting machine. I would recommend them for the cost and the use ability

As others have noted, the dimensions of this 1095 flat stock are slightly under the claimed size for all measurements. However, for a beginning knife-maker, this is a convenient source for an annealed high-carbon steel. This flat stock is pretty well-suited to making a cut-out knife, but rather thin to start with for a forging technique. Circling back to the idea of being a good fit for a beginning knife-maker, though, this offers a chance to refine your grinding and shaping techniques without the complexity of making a full-forged blade.

Remember, this is high carbon steel, so measures will need to be taken to keep it from rusting. Other than that, it is good knife blank material.

Decent price. Arrived with some tarnish on one bar. Two of the bars arrived with significant and visible warping. I am doing stock removal knives, so the warping is a big issue. I will have to try to correct the warping with heat treating.

Well packaged arrived in good condition wrapped in rust proof paper inside bubble wrapped envelope. Ready to go to work, making blades or whatever your High Carbon steel need is. All pieces arrived straight and rust free

These steel blanks come shiny (not polished, but free of scale) and oiled. They were exactly 1.50 wide and 1.20 thick (so not quite the 1.25 of 1/8). Mine all had a slight bow to them over the 12 length, but its not anything I wouldnt be able to correct for. All-in-all, a decent product for the money.

This seems like good metal. I dont know how to verify its properties, but as I use it more, Ill update this if anything changes. Came wrapped well enough. You can see it was not cut up carefully, the ends are still rough with burrs, but not terrible. Couple dings here and there, but nothing that will cause a problem. Dont expect perfect pieces. So far I like it, would recommend.

Nice blanks. Came without any tarnish and are very flat with no deviation, oiled in wax paper and bubble wrap. I tried to bend one on the bench and it was very strong with minor flexing. All in all, worth the money. Time will tell how well they are when creating a blade, but we shall see. Worth it.

The hardness I got out of this metal after quenching and my heat treating was roughly 62hrc. The metal did require a lots of elbow grease to get all the scratches and blemishes out. But does clean up nicely

I am not a knife-maker -- yet! But these steel bars are exactly what I wanted. They appear to be just as they are advertised, and Im happy with them.
