> 3 dayKeeps tools organized and make them easily portable. I can grab a set of sockets from my tool box and throw them in my tool roll or bag if I need them for an emergency road fix.

> 3 dayThe piece itself is a sturdy aluminum, but the socket retainers have issues. For one, the retainers are held on the bar only by a soft rubber end cap on each end of the bar. Since the retainers slide along the length of the bar that means the whole retainer set can fall off if those end caps aren’t in place. Of course the rubber end caps slide right off so the retainers will fall off every time you pick it up. You’ll have to glue the end caps on. Second problem, the retainers have a weak ball bearing to hold the sockets on, so anything over a size 14 will fall off under its own weight if the bar is picked up too fast. Save your money folks

> 3 dayThese really great for the money. This is my 3rd set of these (1st. SAE, 2nd.metric, 3rd.Hex sockets). The only reason these are not a 5 star review from me is, that you cannot buy additional clips for a reasonable price. So many possible configurations of socket sets. For example, after putting my deep well and short 1/4” metric sockets on a rail... I needed 2 more clips.... it was more cost effective to just purchase another whole set. Quality is good. It even holds 1/2” drive deep well sockets without falling off. If they offered additional/replacement clips at reasonable price, these would be perfect!

> 3 day[NOTE: I purchased this product/wrote this review when it was being sold for twenty-nine bucks- which was high already. I now see it listed for forty! As much as I like the product, I would not pay forty bucks for em if they were made of solid gold!.] O-K, I had tried some socket rails from that cheap Chinese tool place [Rhymes with arbor eight]- I mean, how can you screw up something as simple as a socket rail, right? Well, that place can! I needed something else, FAST, for my portable toolbox, as the 80 or so sockets I carry in it were becoming a mess. I didnt want any plastic crap; and I wanted something which would be space efficient, to fit in my skinny socket & ratchet box. Enter these Olsa Tools socket rails. At first, I was put-off by the price- I mean, your tool organizers shouldnt be worth as much or more than the tools that they will be holding, right? But after looking around a bit, I kept coming back to these. I liked the way they look; and I liked the fact that you can buy extra clips for them (Albeit, at extortionist prices), because they NEVER (They being any socket rail manufacturer) give you enough clips on the 1/4 and 3/8 rails.... So I bit the bullet. Well, let me tell you, I LOVE these things! The clips slide easily on the rails, with or without sockets; They look GREAT; The sockets go on and off the clips easily, yet they are held securely, so that they do not fall off. The aluminum rails are sufficiently heavy to be quite durable. Although the clips are plastic, they seem sturdy enough- hopefully they will last. In short,as the other reviews state, these are simply the BEST socket rails I have ever seen. I just wish that they would sell all of the sizes seperately; and that the prices were more reasonable. I think (if Im not mistaken) that these are made in Murica [USA], so naturally, you make something in a country which has the second highest corporate income taxes in the world; high cost of doing business; and very high labor costs, it is going to cost way more than necessary. These things are simple enough that they could be made anywhere, easily for a third or less of the price. As much as I love em, I do think that they are ridiculously priced- so as to discourage most non-pros from buying them. But I am glad that I bought them, and will be buying more in the future (You cant go back....). But Cmon! $7 just for a little baggy with 6 extra clips in it?! I do wish Olsa Tools great success with these, and do hope that they will lower the price in the future, as well as offer these in various colors, such as green, blue and gold. (Not only for aesthetics, but that way, you could use one color for metric sockets; one for standard, etc.). In time, I guess Ill get over having to spend nearly $80 bucks to organize 80 sockets (In a toolbox which is older than I am!)- Im sure that my 25 year old Craftsman sockets appreciaye it though, and I have to say, these things really fancy-up my otherwise crappy portable tool set! Most of all though, my sockets are readily and easily accessible, which is the important thing, and theyre not falling all over the place and getting lost, nor ending up loose in my toolbox. tl;dr version: A quality (albeit expensive) product which works great.

24-11-2024Would be nice if these were magnetic. Not sure if it because of the weight of my socket set but they always tip over in my drawer
