> 3 dayIve been using this for about 6 months. I am pretty easy on my tools and dont thrash them in any way. I like the looks of this socket holder but I have found it not to be very durable. I once dropped it from only a few inches and it broke the plastic of one of the clips and bent the rail a bit. For the most part, I dont have issues with sockets popping off however. I also had to put zip ties on either end of the rail where there are little rubber caps to prevent the sockets from simply sliding off the end of the rail as the rubber cap isnt strong enough to retain the weight of the sockets.

> 3 dayDont listen to the two-star review by some Amazon_Customer who claims that the ball bearing spring is not strong enough to hold heavy (18mm+) deep impact sockets. I have to disagree 100% with that claim. I have a set of 1/2 drive deep impact sockets ranging in size from 7/16 to 1 1/4, and the clips on this socket rail will EASILY retain those sockets, even when the rail is held up-side-down. This rail with all of those sockets weighs 8 1/2 pounds, and I can easily lift the whole thing by grasping only two sockets. Now of course, with impact sockets, you do have to correctly position the socket on the clip so that the ball on the clip engages the hole in the side of the socket. Otherwise, you definitely will have trouble with poor socket retention. My only complaint is that there is nothing to keep the clips from sliding off the end of the rail except for the rubber end caps, and those would be insufficient for retaining a rail-full of heavy sockets if the rail were hung vertically. The obvious solution to that is to put a small bolt through one of the end holes. So that isnt really a problem if you work in a mechanic shop and have easy access to bolts of all sizes, but Olsa really needs to rectify this flaw. Other than that, this is a great socket holder.

> 3 dayI purchased this strip mainly to hold a set of 1/2 impact sockets I purchased recently that came with a very poorly designed holder so I needed something to replace it. This organizer/holder works perfectly. It holds the entire 13 piece set which goes from 32mm down to 10mm. There were a few spares, but not enough room to hold any more sockets so I just slid those off - which is easy to do. I just put it in a drawer of my tool cabinet versus mounting it like some other reviewers did, but it is certainly strong enough to set it up that way. Its very well made and a good solution for organizing sockets. I will likely purchase a few more and move all of my various sockets to one of these holders. Mainly to just keep them organized and be able to quickly know when one is missing. I would definitely recommend these holders for anyone needing to organize sockets.

> 3 dayI put impact sockets on these. They stay held on better than what I have used in the past. They could clip on a little harder but even the large sockets don’t fall off so I’m happy

> 3 dayI had put up with stainless steel socket organizers for years as they seemed to be the only option. The spring clips often were too tight or not tight enough, the edges of the bar were sharp and it was difficult to add or remove the spring clips. I decided to take a chance on the Olsa Tools aluminum organizer. I now have six of them! What is unique is that the socket clip is a plastic material with a spring loaded ball keeper, pretty much like your socket wrench. The aluminum bar allows the clips to attach along a grove in each side so even when the organizer is on the workbench the clips move easily left and right making it easier to remove and attach a socket. Design is excellent and materials are durable. I will be buying more. BTW Olsa Tools offers the clips in green and black and you can buy just the clips! I intend to have my metric sockets on green clips and standard sockets on black clips for easy and quick differentiation in a semi lite work areas.

> 3 dayDoes a pretty good job of holding onto heavy sockets, but the rubber end caps are not sufficient to stop them from sliding off the end of the rail. Perhaps this is intended? I put machine screws through the pre-drilled holes in the ends to stop sockets from sliding off and that works very well.

> 3 dayThe piece itself is a sturdy aluminum, but the socket retainers have issues. For one, the retainers are held on the bar only by a soft rubber end cap on each end of the bar. Since the retainers slide along the length of the bar that means the whole retainer set can fall off if those end caps aren’t in place. Of course the rubber end caps slide right off so the retainers will fall off every time you pick it up. You’ll have to glue the end caps on. Second problem, the retainers have a weak ball bearing to hold the sockets on, so anything over a size 14 will fall off under its own weight if the bar is picked up too fast. Save your money folks
