This sander takes a little time to get going properly. But from the first time you try it you will out do the old methods of using a sander or paper rolled up in your hand. My biggest problem was getting the small groove from the bull gouge out. It seemed that as I sanded the grooves the wood around the groves was being removed at the same rete. with this bowl sander that problem went away rapidly. Bowl sander is the perfect name. You will finish your work much faster. Enjoy

I had been wanting to get one of these for quite a while. I am glad I found this one at a pretty good price. Simple to use - it takes a little practice to keep it in contact and spinning. Multiple adjustment/position possibilities. It does I great job on bowls and plates. It will really cut your sanding time. I have even used it on a couple of pens and pencils I have turned.

I have seen this tool used on many videos I have watched about wood turning. Now that I have one I am not sure how I got along without it. Sanding the inside of bowls is now easier and the results are excellent. The quality of the tool is above what I expected and I am sure that I will be using it for many years to come. It comes with some sanding disks in 100 grit so it is advisable to order some 2 inch disks that are also available on Amazon. I ordered a set that has 10 of each grit through 3000 and both of the items arrived at the same time.

It’s not bad but there is a ton of vibration in the bearing assembly. I suppose some vibration is to be expected but this thing is like trying to finish sand with a jackhammer.
