Although I do power sanding and hand sanding when turning, this tool work beautifully to smooth out any tracks left from more abrasive methods. So simple, but elegant. Highly recommend it.

I have seen this tool used on many videos I have watched about wood turning. Now that I have one I am not sure how I got along without it. Sanding the inside of bowls is now easier and the results are excellent. The quality of the tool is above what I expected and I am sure that I will be using it for many years to come. It comes with some sanding disks in 100 grit so it is advisable to order some 2 inch disks that are also available on Amazon. I ordered a set that has 10 of each grit through 3000 and both of the items arrived at the same time.

Ive used this on two different style bowls I turned. I find it works best on the outside (convex) and with larger diameter bowls like 7 or so. With smaller diameter it wants to skip along the surface. Inside of a bowl the tool works best with a larger diameter so the pad contacts more of the surface. It would be nice to have interchangeable disks with some concave, some convex as well as flat.

Plus: + Good reach + Adjustable angle, holds well under pressure Minus: - Included discs seem really low quality

it worked great until it didnt...the metal on metal rubbing caused the the post to break, now its useless after less then 3 month.

Its a lot better than using your fingers. Used it sanding my bowl and vases on the lathe. Love it!

Be careful when tightening down the set screws that hold the pad in. Tiny set screw and cheap brass don’t mix well.
