> 3 daySo glad I found these! I didn’t know that my Dyson even had this filter and didn’t understand why the vacuum smelled like dog paws every time I used it. When I googled the manual for the Dyson, I realized that there was a filter that I had never cleaned. Oops! I tried cleaning it, but by then, the smell had really gotten in there. So I found these replacements, and now the dyson smells as fresh as a daisy!

> 3 dayGreat to have a spare so you can swap it in when you are waiting for the other to dry after cleaning. You did realize these needed to be cleaned once in a while? They fit as well as the Dyson original which is not saying much. No noticeable difference between them when using the vacuum.

Greater than one weekThey fit exactly the same as original. No loss of suction. Works like it should I would definitely recommend these. The original was not very dirty at all. We noticed a bad smell and tracked it down to the inside of plastic where the dirt accumulates in the clear bucket and the pre filter. They both smelled terrible. Cleaned out inside of plastic housing with vinegar, dawn and water solution and used this prefilter to get it back to normal.

> 3 dayManual talks about cleaning but it doesnt tell you how dust can collect in the these thing and actually stop you machine from running. If your getting a pulsation power to your Dyson its most likely this. A simple washing of the original isnt enough. These were cheap and arrive the next day, saved me from having to buy a new vacuum. Well worth the money.

> 3 dayAs it turns out I probably didnt really even need these, as the bigger issue was I had some debris clogging the shoot which was making the unit pulsate. However these fit and work exactly like the OEM filter. Now when it is time to clean the filter (with water) I can just pop a fresh one in and off I go, without having to wait a day for the wet one to dry. Awesome deal... 2 for $12!!

> 3 dayI have a Dyson V8 - after about 6 months, it started to do this cycling noise, suction then off, the on etc. I cleaned the filter, and it still did this. I read a review that replacing the filter is the best option. I received these 2 today and they are exactly like the Dyson filter. However, I still had the same problem. I switch from the vacuum attachment to one of the hand held and it did not have the above issue. I noticed that in the joint (swivel part) of the vacuum attachment I had a clog [I have cats] and there was a ton of hair stuck in there, this was making the Dyson think it had a bad or dirty filter. I cleaned it out took a minute, since my finger can only reach so far in there, from either side, but once cleared... Poof!! Works great again. In the future: Yes Ill replace the filter probably 2x a year, but Ill also check that swivel connection, as it seems to be a reservoir for my cats hair.

> 3 dayMy vac is sensitive on the overload cut off. I have to concentrate to no big it. I not sure it it is this part. I was negligent on cleaning the original. I assume this is endemic in the design, but do not know. I have bought a load or dissolar parts here at Amazon...this stick vacuum still vacuums...vet used. No complaint.
